Honestly though there were too many games where they could've reunited but didn't. Hopefully that doesn't happen in Remake but I'm sure Cloud wouldn't recognize Zack if they did.
Zack was probably Cloud's first actual close friend yanno? After he was isolated relationship-wise in Nibelheim. It must've done him a world of good to be treated w kindness and encouragement to achieve his goals

Their friendship is precious 😭 also it's heartbreaking to see how much the trauma Cloud experienced during and after the Nibelheim incident, as well as Zack's death, affected his psyche so much that Crisis Core Cloud and Remake Cloud completly have different behavior and mannerism most of the time
This is the Cloud I prefer. Nice, shy and soft spoken. I'll be REALLY FUCKING SAD if Aerith ends up with him tho. Zack was brought back from the dead because the fans loved him too much. The poor guy deserves a happy ending and I can't imagine him being happy without Aerith. It's obvious he's still madly in love with her in Rebirth.
I find it interesting that at 1:10, Zack's current VA reaches a similar warmth as Rick Gómez did back in the day. It seems that he does have the ability to sound warm, caring yet upbeat, but for some reason he does his lines with that over-the-top sound that feels kinda jarring. Cody Christian is killing it as young Cloud too, holy shit. I liked Steve's version but Cody is also bringing so much depth in the voice. We're so not prepared for the events of Rebirth and beyond.. Man, I love these two dorks
Yes, I just don't get, why people hate Zack's VA so much. Of course, it hard to beat Rick Gomez, he was nearly perfect, but Caleb is doing a good job too. Steve was great, but Cody is perfect for Cloud. 👌
Playing the Japanese VA version definitely helped me get used to Caleb. The J version also sounds like over the top aggressive kid but it sounds right cos Japanese voice acting is mostly over the top lmao. Caleb is still too nasal in some parts tho.
i think it's cause that's how he was directed to sound. in some scenes it's obvious that he could pull off a less nasal and more mature voice, but he was probably told to sound more energetic/playful.

I don't really care for Zack's new voice actor, I prefer Rick Gomez, HOWEVER I can tell he put effort in these DMV's with Cloud to sound warm towards him 😭😭 That's enough to win me over I'm so weeeaaaaaakkkk
does zack's mood have an impact on which flashback triggers or does it just effect the likelihood of getting a limit break at all? cloud is my last incomplete dmw sitting at 90% and i just can't seem to get the 1:09 scene

I'm missing the 0:20 and 1:09 scenes but I'm at 90% just before you go through the final boss door at the end of the game. I've tried 2x Lucky Stars with 4x Meteor Shots and 6x Meteor Shots, all master, and I've tried leaving Mission 1-1-1 on over night with just one enemy and a regen band and I've still not managed to get it. I thought maybe it had to be unlocked in the final final battle but nothing rolls on the DMW other than the story stuff

For all who are still looking for it chapter 9 should do it but chapter 10 in the underground area just to make sure. I would recommend going into 1-1-1 with Heavenly status equipping 6 Meteor Shots Materia a equipment with regen like Faerie Ring and just leaving it on the background whilst you do something else. The way I did it is that I watched Avatar played some Clash Royale watch some RUclips went back on it and it was done. It's all RNG sadly so just have to give it a long time in order to make sure it happens even then there's a odd chance it fails but with 6 Meteor Shots that will gain levels throughout all of mine are now maxed because of it will increase the chance of getting Clouds DMW which increases the chance for cutscenes it becomes a small chance of failure. Then just complete the mission to see if it's complete if not repeat.
Zack was so damn kind to Cloud! And Cloud respected Zack so much! I swear, if they end up talking to each other in “Rebirth” I’ll probably cry. 🥺
