@@mt2r-musicreally his aoe’s and multi-hitbox aoe’s, he has a swipe thats similar to moghs claw explosion, except for the fact that you’re in water so the lightning is constantly expanding. Lemme put it this way, i was at his tail hitting the back of his legs, he hits infront of him because i rolled to his tail when i saw his animation. the lightning in the water went all the way to me, behind him when he attacked infront of himself. You legit need to panic dodge his chain if ur not at his feet (probably skill issue for me) because of how large his hitboxes are and drawn out the moves are. I did kill him but im not happy about it in the slightest.

Possibly the worst fight in any souls game. Who decided to put this on water, you're putting an AOE on top of an AOE. I wouldn't even be that annoyed if the thing was at least not a copy paste from the Farum Azula dragons.

Once you come to peace with the fact lock on is the real boss so you fight unlocked and get down the timing for the double rolls on the swipes it becomes really fun. The frustration comes from having to learn this the hard way. The camera lock on is truly horrendous
@@Madmancer my usual strat against dragons is Torren. I find the horse really good to get in and out. But i struggled with this dragon because 1 hit kills Torren and i get combod off the ground. But i eventually maanged it by getting essentially a no hit run haha.
i feel you, i use the guts build and i got mauled, after many tries i just cheesed him using the dragon killer katana (i don't know the real name) and used the ranged ash of war while runnig out the arena so the boss kept resetting without time to attack, after 10 minutes of this the dragon fell
I did it on pure strength and honestly I'm just gonna cheese it next time. I should feel satisfied after a difficult boss fight but this just felt tedious like gaius.

To anyone who have a problem with this guy, lure him out of the water. There's a wider ground near the Stake of Marika where you respawn, take the fight there. Otherwise he'll kill you easily with his lightning in water. Even when you take the fight to the ground he's still an ass, but it's better then fighting in water. Just hit his leg and use Scarlet Rot too to make it faster. It's like Lansseax but more annoying since he got water advantage.
Maxed out dragon hunter great katana ash of war takes out legit CHUNKS from his health, idk why nobody thinks about using that weapon when it’s meant for dragons and you get it on the way to sennesax
@@odvieeSwitching to a different weapon is not changing the entire build. If you are not a caster you should have enough strength and dex for the katana.
Honestly he’s a really easy boss if your willing to be extremely and i mean extremely patient i just beat him on my 3rd try where i decided fuck it just be patient and settle for 1 or 2 hits and run away and it worked i beat him in like 10 minutes just running underneath him hitting him 2 then running away letting him get into his crawl animation then run under hit him twice run away and just rinse and repeat until he’s dead the key is just to not be aggressive and overthink it
I cheese him by running around him with torrent and hitting his wings only. His wings are large enough you can stay at a safe distance and hit him where he can't attack you as he just tries to lock on you instead while you run around him.
To cheese this you need to take him to the enter of the pit, where there is no water. Hit him with L2 max charged - Dragon slayer Katana once, roll back and another L2. In certain time he will TP to his initial position but will keep chasing you. Stay on the ground and repeat until that fucker is dead.

Used a colossal greatsword build. Took at least 15 tries xD. Takes a lot of patience, and memorizing its attack patterns. Torrent was mandatory, keep healing the horse or die.
3 days of this dragon, then I watched this video and it finally dawned on me, I haven’t tried to just use straight ranged attacks, I emulated this but with my mimic and literally just bleeding it and throwing black flames lmao, went from days of rage to instant victory without getting hit once.
Theres a rock on your right where you spawn use the horse to get up and behind the rock spam area of effect spell and dragon will die without ever damaging you.
The fun part about dragon fights is the challenge. Being a drake warrior cosplay and killing Senessax with nothing but dragon weapons (I.E. Icerind Hatchet, Gransax's Bolt, Grafted Dragon) was incredibly fun and worth the hard work
Just put on defensive talismans against lightning and non physical damage, use dragonwound grease, its free, i died like 15 times trying with my usual build, after i changed strategy he fell under 3 attempts, u can also use the blessing from dragon priestess
This boss is broken as fuck. Why make a a boss this aggressive with aoe attacks and swipes but make his hitboxes non existent. I had to resort to drive by swipes under him until he died
Super easy way that I found was to lure him to the sight of Marika, get a couple good hit on him before he tps back, then rinse and repeat! Took about 3mins to kill him
I hate that dragon, not because they decided to put an electric dragon in water for more AoE attacks, but because even with that they decided to add more AoE in his attacks, like putting him in the water wasn't enough. Even worse, his electrics attacks also spread in the floor even in zones with no water
Another trash bugged script, i beat 99% of dragons on horse this one is special as melee, the lightning expands on the ground without consideration that you are not on water, i get the expand while in water this is the first bug, second bug if you get hit once with the swipe is game over the other 2 are impossible to dodge because the getting up animation lasts 5 minutes and does not finish in time. I finished Elden Ring around 9 times and i must say this DLC while not entirely shit, is 70% uninspired shit. I think they ran out of creativity and decided "lets make the animations last 5 minutes, yeah brilliant idea!". 2 years for this bugged garbage. Commander Gay-us another bugged piece of trash which seems to increase your own hitbox by 90 yards cause not matter the dodge you will get hit.
@@ratharosit's true that the timing is very heavy, i struggled to beat him for about 25 times or so, not until i managed to get the timing right and be patient could i win against him with about 5 estuses left. That and paired with the fact that you are presented with Bayle, the most exciting dragon fight to date, right after Senessax are probably the reason there are a lot of people hate Senessax including me.
I feel like if other ring players are going to play the DLC they need more HP and FP more life and more magical powers otherwise they're going to get cooked it's hard😂
The game literally gives you the tool to destroy dragons if you re a melee build, the dragon hunter's katana. And it also scales with both strength and dex so you don't really have to worry for respec(although quality is the most optimal build here). Just lure this overgrown lizard out of the water and if possible, use the lighting damage negation incantation

Question should be how'd an ancient dragon end up in the land of shadow to begin with, I'd imagine more then likely it was before the separation of both realms, bayle on the other hand I'd imagine was placidusex rival to be the dragon elden lord, imagine fighting their dragon god as a boss fight in elden ring 2 in a decades time if they make it.

Honestly its best to not target lock on big enemies. Might feel weird at first but you will eventually get used to it.
Actually crazy fromsoft put the best and worst dragon fights they have ever made right next to each other. Miyazaki truly is a visionary.

Fighting him on Scadutree lvl 0 is horrific. Every single move one shots besides the after effect of his claw swipes.

So many fucking Dragons that i tought i was playing Skyrim. Good boss fight tho, just use the Dragon's Hunter Katana and Get Good.

Why am I the only one who enjoys this fight as a melee user?
I enjoyed it its a timing heavy fight. Probably most people hate it because the lock on is utter trash. Once you unlock its better
