      These electric bikes are toys, KTM has one that looks really good, but you barely get an hour of riding time on a charge, then you have to recharge it for an hour or more. You could get extra batteries for it and swap them out quick, but at the cost of 3,600 US dollars per battery it's laughable. I prefer the extreme power, speed, and affordability of real dirtbikes that you can ride non stop all day with a can of gas. Electric bikes are a novelty item and a leftist pipe dream 😂

    DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO THE FALSE STATEMENT BEING MADE HERE,,,THESE ARE ELECTRIC MOTOCYCLES. NOT BICYCLES. IF IT HAS A THROTTLE AND AND GO FASTER THAN 25KM/H. IT IS A MOTORCYCLE....JUST BECAUSE IT USED SOME BICYCLE PARTS. IT HAS LEFT THE BICYCLE CATEGORY AND INTO MOTORCYCLE CATEGORY... THESE ARE FOR SALE ALL OVER THE INTERNET SECOND HAND BECAUSE THE BUYERS DID NOT ACTUALY DO RESEARCH ON LAWS , AND WERE TRICKED INTO BELIEVING THE AD. THEY ARE NOT STREET LEGAL AND ARE NOT SIDEWALK LEGAL. FOR PRIVATE PROPERTY USE ONLY OR IN THE MOUNTAINS TRAILS....IF YOU RIDE ON THE STREETS WITH THESE YOU WILL GET A TICKET FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE THAT IS NOT LICENSED OR REGISTERED, AS WELL AS YOU MAY NOT HAVE THE PROPER DL TO OPERATE IT...I SELL ACTUAL E BIKES AND KNOW THE LAWS ON THIS. BEWARE AND DO YOUR RESEARCH. THESE ARE NOT BICYCLES

      Hello, thank you for your comment. We have stated that these are too powerful for public roads but some companies sell slower versions of these bikes and it is important to consult both your local regulations and the seller before placing an order. We are all for road safety but still rules and regulations differ greatly. If you have experience selling ebikes, can you please take some time to explain the viewers what current limitations are? In the US it's 500W and in Europe it's 250W, is it correct?

      Prices are relative.
      You can get water out of a tap but people still buy that daily. You buy a take-out meal rather than making it yourself, right?
      Many of these bikes are for riding enthusiasts rather than those that are hobby builders re-crafting and extensively modifying a bike. Here, you're purchasing a lifestyle, a warranty & guarantee aftercare service and a bike using a combination of what those companies believe to be the most apt parts. You'll be paying for their research & development and manufacturing costs and the convenience of having it presented to you on a plate.

      @@Datacube Dont need to plan or pre plan now. Just build a good bike. DIY kits are already past prototyping and ready to ride with a motor kit and battery. People who have seen any diy builds are already in a mind set of knowing not to spend 3-4000 dollars on a these builds. way over priced bro. The 3000 watt cyclone and a 52 volt battery is a solid build on an aluminum frame. For a fraction of the cost. Even if i built one, I cant justify charging that amount of money for those or any business builds. Theres no difference in what is used as components, its still a mid drive or hub drive or battery etc... all the same

Not all trucks could reach places a mountain bike could, so there is a specific tool for every task, not a universal one.

    You have to add the Luna Apollo. It is new and for me the best Ebike at the moment. It has a carbon frame, a real middrive motor(most bikes in your video have a hubmotor that is mountet in the middle of the frame. the apollo has also a very good battery and Sram Eagle 12x Shifting. The motor is made of magnesium, it has a torque sensor which makes it possible to ride it like a real bike but the motor always adds the power in relation to your power. that means if you pedal harder it instantly adds more power...it feels like riding a bike not a motorcycle. But it also has the throttle...
    Bikes like this costs 10-14k (spitzing m1 for example)...the Luna Apollo costs about 5k which is insane.
    I would buy it if it was not out of stock.
    At the moment I ride a Cube Stereo SL which is worth 5500$
    it has a 250W Bosch CX Motor with 500Wh Battery and aluminium frame...the Luna has 2500W with 1300Wh Battery and carbon frame

    In the Uk you could take this bike with you on a train so you can commute at th other end or take it on holiday. You can go past a speed camera at 40 mph in a 30 mph area without problems. Do that on a motorbike.

      Datacube: awesome facts and interesting top lists I didn’t think the bikes were in the price range they’re in. The price of a new Honda CRF450R is over $9000-USD. Thats why I said a used dirtbike. If I knew the Vector could be as reliable as a dirtbike, then the price is understandable. But for something that’s battery powered and on such a small frame, to me the price is questionable.

    The Delfast bikes are obviously the most top of the line beasts. 5 grand is still extremely cheap for an ebike that i can literally go on a road trip with through several states and back home

    Electric bikes are either a bicycle with no suspension or like the bikes at the start of the video that have decent suspension but horrible seats and tiny fenders and no enclosed chain. I would like to see a commuter bike that is a happy medium, around eight inches of suspension with a decent seat and fenders and an enclosed chain with a luggage rack in the front and back. Something more like a Yamaha ICE enduro than a bicycle. Maybe a viewer can point out something like this.

    These bikes have extremely expensive components as the manufacturers seek performance and range above all. Hence the price rag. Also these bikes are a lot harder to put together than a bicycle. I cant justify how bicycles for the tour de france can be more expensive.

    A couple of these were not too bad, but mostly the prices are outrageous. Now that they are making electric motorcycles, these prices should start to be dramatically reduced. I think I would do better to have my current bicycle turned into an electric one. I have a Sun recumbent road bike that maybe could be turned into an awesome electric long distance road bike. With enough power, it might be capable of hauling a trailer loaded with camping gear for very economic travel. I would be interested in anybody's thoughts or suggestions on this subject.

    And then there's Germany, where riding a bike that simply is capable of speeds above 25km/h will be the end of your drivers license and grounds for a hefty fine...

  • @ferosofranek8817
    @ferosofranek8817 4 года назад

    Beautiful e-bikes, but it's a shame that none of them is legal for road use in Europe. Everything above 250W and 25km/h is not a bicycle, but motorcycle (or moped, if it has pedals) with license plate and insurance. In addition, everything above 4kW and 45km/h is L3e category (big motorcycle) where you need full motorcycle license for driving it.
    Even bigger shame is complete absence of mandatory equipment for road use, when considering price of these machines. With this approach, all of them stays in "shiny toys for rich guys" category.

    Gave a lot more fun on electric bikes - smiles per miles - how many times have you done 30 miles on a normal bike & wanted to chuck the bike in the river & get the bus home ????? That s the difference you can get there & get back home on1 charge & had a blast all the way ! Try it ? I have a SPITZING m1 ? Unbelievable bit of kit , max speed 45 mph but you have to pedal , so you are getting fit at the same time aswell 😂👍👌💯🇬🇧

      I'm 3 years old/new into my passion and Learning everything that peaks my interest about learning new things and please correct me if I'm wrong but these electric bikes from a bias pov here 70% of e bike full suss are set up like motor cycles just with peddle assist that why I dont class them as bikes and the purest comes out in me if its not pure human your not a cyclist some think differently and that's cool to gives us teal cyclists a challenge pmsl

    hi, new to high-performing e-bikes here. could someone explain to me why some of these are double the price of a brand new Japanese dirt bike that's comprised of so many complicated, intricate moving parts? i'm a bit confused...is it the battery? i get that they use lithium-ion cells, but c'mon. c'monnnnn. sell me:

    • @barclayholmes5982
      @barclayholmes5982 5 лет назад +1

      Compare the power to weight ratio as well as the components. Some e-bikes cost around $750 on Amazon and Walmart, others $7K. A good set of carbon 29 inch wheels for my mountain e-bike cost $2K, no sprocket, just rim, hub and spokes. I could also get the cheapest aluminum wheels for about $100 a set. They make awesome aluminum wheels as well. A killer front fork is about $1200 and up, cheap ones are $120. You can get a nice Fox Factory fork for around $800. Japanese gas powered dirt bikes have been mass produced in China for some time now in a well established market. Volume also makes a big difference. Also note worthy, does not affect the cost but, electric motors have full torque from a stand still. Either way, drive fast and take chances, Barclay.

      @Datacube  5 лет назад

      Hello, thank you for your comment. Which Japanese bikes are you comparing them to? Those go for $6K new, only a couple of these bicycles fit for the "double the price" description...
