You could tell the Winton wasn't above diamond cause he didn't use a single tech the whole clip. Masters+ will at least punch cancel.
also the clip itself wasn't anything special. No juggle needed, no positioning needed, just monke to win. Basic target priority gets the win

@@uhohhhhstinky3428 punch cancel is when you melee right as you land on the ground after using leap, the melee gets cancelled but you still do the damage -so basically +30 free damage with no delay penalty. It's a great habit to build to always melee at the end right as you land, it can be the difference between pushing a soldier out of your reach, or killing him on the spot

Ill be honest I’m not a monkey player, I mainly play rein but I do have 300+ hours on monkey gm2 I never use the punch tech to much effort
that winston literally jumped into 5 people without his ult, against a dva, and jay said he has good. that was so diamond

the amount of good players and bad players in everyrank is wild
People have to also realize not every clip a player is playing at their best/worst. So some bronze genji can look diamond at times and some diamond can look silver. That's why people in jay3 chat say braindead things about Top 500 players like "oh they look silver I could beat them"

I instantly knew that monke clip was diamond off the bat. I'm diamond and around that skill level (based on that one clip), you dont see many winton players in diamond so people forget that diamond wintons can easily get clips like that. I wouldnt even call it impressive which is why I could tell it wasnt high elo.
I agree if I see a monke in my high diamond low masters game usually they are 1 tricks, crazy how Winston is so popular in gm but lower than that he isn’t picked much.
@@kingkongsta4051it’s not that crazy. Monke falls off when his team lacks coordination, so it makes perfect sense you see him less the lower the ranks go. As if lower ranked players could even effectively play monke into counters
@@jontaii152 I actually like winston in gold even without team coordination he can shine, it's like people "actually doom needs a coordinated team" no I just see him slamming and zipping and of course we pull up the sombra/cass/orisa to ruin his fun but he still gets value.
Any tank could work at any elo if you're smarter than the enemy team. It's just coordination allows them to shine more but remember if your team isn't coordinated neither is the enemy team. Or like when people tell me "um actually sombra needs a coordinate team", bro I just go hack the widow kill her, hack the ana kill her, come back hack the tank and focus him down. It's not 10000iq and I get great value out of sombra and EMP

Btw I use that diva crosshair too, and that whole circle is where all the bullets land so you know if your hitting them with the most amount of damage possible

now im just really confused how the last kiriko clip even was in rankdle... they have rules on what clips u can submit and the rules say that the clips have to be in ranked play. so how did the kiriko clip manage to get in?
they get qp games all the time in rankdle

imo the monkey was good. yes he did not use any special techs IN THIS CLIP, meaning he have know them, but didnt use them, cuz some times you dont have to.
I'm not trying to say I'm good at the game. I'm usually stuck in like silver or gold and my teammates skill levels are absolutely insanely varied. I hate it lol. Usually the games are won by carries on one team or the other lol. Often a steam roll either way. It's goofy.

Honestly, the Winston one just looks pretty normal to me. Sure the guy popped off but nothing that special. And Jay said he thought that was GM? Maybe I should be playing ranked more. 😂

Coming from a gm support man I have a alt account that I'm like Diamond on and even with me doing a ton of damage on bap with consistent heals a lot
Of the games are still crazy close... I honestly think rank is just getting lucky...
Yeah, teammates play a huge role on a competitive game. Only if one of them is actually playing bad, the game is more likely lost. But according to blizzard, elo hell doesn't exist

Elo hell IS real because the rest of the team WILL suck for 50 percent of your games and the other 50 perfect they’re great. That’s why it’s so hard to rank up

I mean if it’s really 50/50 for good teammates you would be steadily ranking up. You have 4 50/50 chances to get a bad teammate while the opponents have 5 50/50 chances to get a bad teammate.
@@colbychristiansen2944 Yes the only constant is you. People don't understand this but if you want to rank up you have to be carrying most of your games. If you are not carrying so are better than everyone else, why do you think you deserve a rank higher than everyone else. If you are the same as them then you deserve your current rank, if you are alot of better you will eventually rank up.
Then people always look at others mistakes, meanwhile here they are falling of the map. Solo ulting an ana and getting slept, having the worst tracking and positioning possible
The DVa clip was def Silver because they used DM.... at all.
This is why diamond games is worse than gold you get people that are actually good and people who get lucky or carried at least in gold everyone is garbage

Because imagine you soloq'd some Overwatch and got matched against the full Team South Korea. GM OW (only GM because they have the mechanics and the coordination required to pull this off correctly) when 5-stacking compared to SoloQ is a completely different beast.
@@lissomne Even gm ow is nothing compared to fighting an actual OWL team. You could have karq, flats, jay3, emongg and somnus and they fight against an OWL team and get molested.
They created team queue for the GM players now (anyone can use it but man it takes so long)

matchmaker lotto decides whether you get a good team or not. theres good players and shitters mixed into all ranks based on the luck of the draw with matches.
more importantly, you should never judge a player by their peak performance or what they think looks good in a highlight. Judge them by their average and their lows, because that's what truly impacts their match consistency.

Tbh that diamond Hanzo wasn't that bad. Those shots were calculated to a certain extent compare to that bronze Hanzo who randomly released his arrow on someone's head without knowing he was there
@@Ravitas3 FR... Jay3 only focusing on the lucky shot, but not on the position adjustment and (kind of) target priority. That's some game sense right there. I guess people with high ranks can't necessarily evaluate other people's performances. Much like people who are good in their profession are not necessarily good teachers. Seeing the bigger picture is a whole different skill.
