Jesse Hughes reverse suction?? It’s just all the boost coming back out the way it came as they dont run a blow off valve. Also they relocate the air flow meter ( as seen in video .

Fuel pump is incredibly loud, very smooth under braking though, like a drunk swan landing on an icy lake.

I had one, but an auto, they gave it to me, because where i brought my 1979 VB SL/E 5Lt the heater core was leaking and it needed to be fixed so i had the car for about a week, it went unreal 4 door sedan, i had to buy a tyres for the rear due to the amount of burnouts it did, also had a green XB 302 fairmont which did massive burnouts, also a car given to me,because my GOLD XB GT was getting fixed and NOW MY SON has a VL 5Lt BT with all factory paperwork with it and also my new car is a 2015 VF SSV Redline with rear brembos and DPe rear mufflers and KN air filter, which is a fantastic car, silver nitrate in color with the chrome and black features. If only i knew what the cars would be worth later on, i would still have the GT, but still my SONS BT1 is only going up in price you simply cant find a good example of an original example of a ex cop car with factory paperwork and books, these days they want at least 15K to about 25K, the turbos are all done up, massive hard to find an totaly original ex cop car turbo or V8 BT, took a Canary yellow VL V8 BT1 from Kevin dennis for a spin one day, i had a VK Calais i was going to trade in and that thing went hard as, spun in second every time and back then they wanted 13K for it, now days it would be worth at least 35K if unmolested other than maybe engine and running gear reco and done right by people that know what they are doing. :) Also the FORD Ex Cop cars like the XD/XE versions as well which were all interceptors and canary yellow as well, the last were the VN's in the canary yellow then the manufacturers worked out they could sell them easier if they were not in the yellow but normal colors but still plated as BT1's. cheers :)

We had a VC Commodore, same dash basically. The Ashtray was the size of a dumpster and could fit thousands of cigarette butts until needing to be emptied!
My old Daily was a 202 VC, unfortunately replaced the tacho with a ‘’ manifold pressure’ gauge which I never figured out how it worked

They have so much more potential than those acceleration figures, no intercooler and stock turbo 20+ years ago had these easily sub 5 0-100 and low 13s high 12s 1/4 and high 10s close to this one’s spec,
Someone please my question. So i have wondered for years why the VL turbo flutters so nicely and so easily. I know many other cars flutter too but the VL is like the known car for turbo flutter in Australia. Is it the OEM turbo thats on the engine that easily flutters after putting on an intake?

Hah, lightly tuned, look at the size of the intercooler!
Keep in mind a large intercooler alone doesn't automatically add performance. With a small/standard turbo it usually means the turbo has to work harder to push the air around the intercooler/piping and into the intake manifold.
In this case the owner runs the turbo at up to 13psi to offset this (factory standard pressure without intercooler is 7psi). Other than that the car is mostly standard. A larger fuel pump has been added for future tuning plans only.

In fact depending on where the vac/boost lines are taking reference from, the larger 'cooler can mean your getting less boost to the manifold. The bigger the cooler the more the boost drops. The up side to the big 'cooler and piping means a louder, longer dose noise when you lift. Unfort 13psi is about the limit of the factory ECU, to go any higher you need an aftermarket computer. You thin that fuel pump is loud, you should hear my R31. It runs a Walbro 450 E85 pump in tank as a lift pump to supply to the 5L surge tank with 2 Bosch 044's in the boot. It's LOUD

That's a lot slower than what I remembered. It's funny, when you've got a really small turbo it spools up free revving. With my GTX3582R with 1.15 A/R ratio turbine housing and 0.80 A/R ratio comp cover, you ain't getting no boost unless it's under load of some kind. It's makes 504rwhp @ 21psi and has run mid tens with a really slow 60ft of 1.8X cause I keep blowing up my built Trimatic if I do full boost launches. Shopping around for a TH400 from the States atm. It should run high 9's with the mph it traps at
