  • Non teaching staff at the Moi University Eldoret have joined in the ongoing lecturers' strike, as a way of piling pressure on the government to ensure they get better remuneration.
The university workers accused the government of discriminating against university employees when it comes to remuneration saying they are the most poorly paid public servants in the country.
The university workers say they are yet to enjoy the 2017/2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement saying the government has short-changed the fraternity .
The downing of tools by non -teaching staff now adds to the problem of strikes in Kenyan Public Universities. Currently lecturers in the country have been on the strike for a month.
