    Thank you so much for these videos. My new 24" 8 shaft loom is arriving on Wednesday, 2 days time, and watching these excellent videos have given me the confidence to tackle this alone. My hubby died last month and this loom is an early birthday present from him.

    Thank you, just putting mine together now. The rubber mallet didn't do the job of making the bolt flush. I saw the hammer here and that worked. Thank you again.

    Thanks so much for these videos. I originally bought a small framed loom, like a flat pannel which you cannot extend the warp, I did not like the flimsy hedle on it, so I bought a toy with balancing shafts and beater. I loved working with it but always had a hard time to warp it, so I gave up after 2 months lol. I then bought some round looms and make a few items with those, even invented my own patterns after a while. But that toy loom was just sitting on my shelf and often I started thinking lets give it another try. For some reason I was watching you tube videos and your toy one appeared on the side of things I may like to view. Well I succesfully managed to warp my toy loom double warp and wefth and so loving it. I saw a lady show how to wear your weave, so will try and make items for my newborn doll with the weaved piece, I know getting a little bold here. But I then saw your video on which looms to buy, I realized something last night, as I was watching more videos on the rigid heddle looms I noticed I may not be able to work on it, the reason being is I have a torn left shoulder which was never repaired, I have Juvenile rheumatoid arthrtitis since age 15 along with Fibro and Raynaud's since age 23, I now have osteoarthritis in my hands. So been looking around a few sites now for 3 or 4 days, came upon this Ashford table loom 32 inches 8 shafts which I believe might be easier on both my shoulder and arhtritis. I am so glad your toy warping video came on my feed and now have learned more in the past few days through your many videos. Now I have to see if my sugar & cream yarn can go onto this weaving machine to make towels, I have made some oven mitts round looms, but the constant e wrapping and pearling is a little hard on my hands. Hence the weaving is so much easier for me. I will need to learn how to use more then 2 balancing heddles for sure. I want to make scarfs and maybe a wrap. I do have different yarn. My mom died last year and my dad gave me her yarn earlier this year, hence taking up knitting on round looms and weave. Most of her yarn is acrylic, some are not labeled either. I may not buy the loom till after the new year, but am trying to learn as much as I can before doing so, the table loom would be best for the space we have here, you have given me hope. Prior to Feb this yr 2023 I had never knitted anything, I am a quick learner, especially if I watch you tube videos as i am a visual learner. I am a retired nurse now so have plenty of time on my hands. Thanks so much

    Thanks for the videos. I've just finished building my Ashford 32" 8 shaft table loom. I think I would have managed it with just Ashford's instructions but having watched your videos through several times it was a lot clearer. This made me more confident in my build and made the build more enjoyable.

    An egg carton is great for sorting small pieces and the lid for slightly larger small pieces. You can even label each cup as part a,b,c as the instructions indicate.

    Hi Kelley, I contacted you about the table loom class. I was awaiting my raddle. I hope you can help me. I've been investigating all day. Emails to Leclerc, the Woolery where I bought the raddle and the vendor I bought my loom from. Here's the problem. My table loom has the new swinging beater but the Leclerc raddle is made for it's traditional beater. I cannot find a way to use the raddle I ordered. And I seem unable to find someone who can help me. I'm a new weaver and an even newer table loom owner (brand new). My question is, do you think the Ashford raddle kit would be ok on the Leclerc table loom? The back beam is flat just like the Ashford, and I don't see why it wouldn't work. But being inexperienced I'd like another opinion. If you could help me I'd really appreciate it. I've pretty much been dropped by the above people I've contacted.

      Hi Kellie,
      I'm sorry you haven't received the help you need, The Woolery staff are usually very helpful from what I've heard.
      You should be able to use your raddle regardless of the type of beater your loom has. If your loom has the flat back beam, you just sit your raddle on it and secure it (clamps, stretchy ties, waste yarn). As long as the raddle is the appropriate size for the size of your loom it should be perfectly useable.
      Does that answer your question, or have I missed something? 😊

      @@KellyCasanova Not putting down Woolery; don't think they know exactly the dilemma re: raddle with a swinging beater. The loom has a flat back beam but the raddle does not. It's designed to sit it a slot, the same slot where the reed goes. So it has a thin, grooved edge. not possible to sit it flat on the back beam.Would there be a problem using the Ashford raddle and putting it on the back beam, even though it's a Leclerc loom?

    • @KellyCasanova
      @KellyCasanova  4 года назад

      Oh, I see! I didn't realise that the raddle isn't flat too - that is a problem!
      I don't believe there would be any problem using an Ashford raddle, as long as it's the right size for your loom. The Ashford also comes with some lease sticks, stretchy bands, cardboard separators and rings for keeping the sticks together - it's really good.
      Is there any possibility of returning the Leclerc raddle?

    • @kelliestapleton6582
      @kelliestapleton6582 4 года назад +1

      @@KellyCasanova I've emailed requesting a return. I should hear back today. It's crazy how they have it set up; you would have to thread the raddle like a reed. It's big and clunky, and really difficult to install. It's a 24" Leclerc, I'll order a 24" Ashford raddle. Maybe take a look at the Leclerc back beam and confirm you 'think' it'll work? Thanks so much. You are so kind.

    • @KellyCasanova
      @KellyCasanova  4 года назад

      I don't know which model you have, but from what I can see from pictures, the back beam is flat enough to make it work.

      Hmm, it's hard to say because we were filming everything at the same time, that adds on a lot of extra time. I would say, for the average person it would take 1.5 - 3 hours?
