Here's a fun little detail about Vi and Jinx. Back when League of Legends had these champion specific themes and login screens, Jinx and Vi had the same background BUT Jinx's version is a destroyed and wrecked version of Vi's! At the time, Riot staff were consistently denying and refusing to answer if Vi and Jinx were sisters. It took years and years before we finally got an answer and they kept dropping hints through other champions too like Ekko calling Vi a 'sellout' and saying that she'll always belong to Zaun in his eyes despite her joining Piltover. Still not sure why Riot were so stubborn about not confirming Vi and Jinx are sisters but here we are now.
well.. they also both call their sister crazy in game. and jinx literally makes fun of vi's theme in game as well. "She's Such a loser. Always ready to cry~"
simple, the way riot build history is slow, and usualy only changes after a new champion so in 4 to 4 months, and they dont release champions of the same region back to back ( minor some Recent special cases) before ekko, Jinx and Vi were basicaly a variation of Batman and Joker, not iven relations, just picking fights with one another, after ekko the "they were (could be) in the same gank when kids" ( with that blured ass painting on the wall of ekko clip) pop up, and that was it, fandom was the one building relations with scraps (again), i still remember the "numbers theory" sisters relations were non oficial as well as Vi and Cait relationship, until arcane took fandom alredy well build backstory and turned up into something solid
well heres a bit of history for you. at first they were not going to be. they wrote each of their histories separate. its around 2016 is when the hints started. you know what was also started in 2016? arcane. thats when they started working on arcanes story. they had allways had history but it started as a batman (vi) and joker/harley (jinx) vibe.
Well Riot had the idea for a long time, because the woman who sings Vi’s theme leaked at the time that she would be working on a track (or maybe that they were? Can’t remember) for VI’s sister. We had no idea what that would mean for a while, but Jinx had some pretty obvious connections to Vi from the start between her splash art and her voice lines specifically making fun of Vi. So people assumed for a long time that she was Vi’s sister, but it wasn’t confirmed until Arcane was revealed.

Agnete Kjølsrud (The singer on Jinx's song) is an amazing singer, she used to be in a band called Animal Alpha, and has her own one called Djerv, and also appeared in a song from Dimmu Borgir.
I had to tune in when I saw Here Comes Vi was getting reviewed! I play League with the singer of the song regularly (Nicki Taylor, she did the 2015 Worlds Theme for League of Legends too) and you are spot on in saying it's a love letter to the 90s from a performance standpoint. Such a badass intro to one of League's most iconic characters.
0:43 I started playing League in 2013, after a bad divorce, looking for anything to focus on. Started off having ZERO clue how to play. Then..."Get Jinxed" premiered. I had only seen one other cinematic from the game before that, so I was blown away. Bought Jinx the day she came out. Played Jinx, ONLY Jinx, for +5 years, regardless of if it was appropriate. Needless to say, she, and her song, will always be precious to me. You know I lost my damn mind when Arcane got revealed. We Jinx mains had been wondering for years if "If you think I'm crazy? You should see my sister." voice line was talking about Vi.
If you liked jhin, there is another game where he is ACTUALY a Violinist : TFT Set 10: Remix Rumble - Jhin's Soundtrack (Maestro). In the same chanel you can find all set TFT set 10 musics, I think it would be cool, since it is a musical theme to the game and also has a mix from Steve Aoki
At the same time, the most unstable, unpredictable and terrifying champion of the League of Legends is definitely Dr. Mundo. His theme song conveys his chaotic nature)

There's a good amount of insane characters in League of Legends. To name a few: - Aatrox: The guy was trapped for millenia in a place where all his senses were shut off so he was trapped with nothnig but his thoughts, after finally being free he just wants to die to end his suffering, problem is, he's so strong he's basically immortal. His solution, kill everything in existence, surely if there's nothing left that includes himself. - Ziggs: A Yordle who loves explosions to an insane degree. In terms of insanity in league characters probably on the lower end, maybe just an explosions fanatic. - Veigar: Another Yordle who was a pure soul tortured for so long he lost his identity and now beleives themselves to be a being of pure evil. However, deep inside they're still that good-hearted person so whenever he tries to do something evil, he "accedently" helps people. One example, killed an evil mage to take over his evil lair, but as all he wanted was the lair, the people tormented by the evil mage were saved by Veigar. - Kled and Skarl: Felt like throwing in the third Yordle for a hat trick, and his mount Skaarl. Yordles often have personalities shaped by where they live and then dialed up to 11 if they stay there long enough. Kled lived in Noxus, a warlike nation, so Kled, became the embodiment of war for wars sake. He joins every war possible and goes absolutely insane there killing anyone for the fun of it. His personality is that of an old angry person who wants everyone to get of his lawn, but his conquering nature makes him believe the entire planet is his lawn, so get to space or die. He's arguably more insane than Jinx. I also included his pet and mount Skarl because that lizard is insane in its own right staying with Kled ^^. - Renekton: An ascended god warrior who chose to lock himself up with an unkillable threat to make sure that threat never escapes. After millenia of doing this he slowly went insane and started to believe his brother, another ascended god warrior who helped capture this unkillable threat, tricked him in sacrificing his freedom because he wanted to get him out of the way. Driven by this insanity he left his post, letting the threat escape, just to find and take revenge on his brother, even thugh it was Renekton's own choice to be the guardian and not his brothers. - Jhin: He literally sees the world different, seeing things that aren't there, and in his mind, murder is art, so he goes around murdering people as an artform and from his perspective he isn't creating gruesome murder scenes, he actually sees art. The list goes on, but let's leave it here for now, it's gotten long enough as is.
even tho ive been playing league for more then a decade i just now realise that Jinx's ingame voice line "She's just a loser, always ready to cry" is direct parody of Vi's beginning where she says "She's such a misfit, always ready to roll"
I know these are probably unheard of, but you should take a listen to Adam Skorupa's work on the games "Ancestors: Legacy" and "Hellish Quart", very slavic medieval vibes, great orchestral work.
love how well all 3 of these themes depict their characters, Jinx with her musical chaos and I love how you reference gwen stefani with how the singer sang, caitlyn's very orderly theme with only the slightest hint of darkness and madness like a person who has seen too much of humanity's darkness to not have it affect her in some way, and vi with her metal and punk vibes which I am also very nostalgic for since I am a 90's kid like you also while I agree with all the musicians you referenced in this section there is one you didn't mention that came immediately to my mind and that is Pink but only in how she sang not in the music itself since I don't remember Pink being so metal or punk she has always been more popish but she definitely has always given off that badass persona through out her career but that is just my humble opinion, I loved all three of these I have to watch the other league of legends videos as well to hear more good stuff!
