    There's a reason kids, black or white everywhere in the 80's and 90's loved Bo. He was a beast!! He was the biggest and brightest star we had seen in our young lives. I remember having those "Bo knows" baseball cards. Still have them all these years later.

    Bo said when he was at Auburn a few NFL scouts showed up and wanted to see him run. He had been at track practice chasing a "rabbit" runner and was told to walk over to the football field. He said he got there and ran a couple 4.3 40's and one of his coaches told him, Bo they aren't going to leave until you run a max effort so Bo told him to open the door at the end of the stadium and he ran a max effort 40 and just kept running threw the door and back to track practice. He said he was later told it had been electronically timed at 4.17

    i had the pleasure of growing up watching the likes of larry bird, jordan, griffey jr, nolan ryan, tiger woods, jack, howie long, deion, sanders, dickerson, dorsett, payton, some of the greatest athletes god has ever put on this earth, but the one god gifted athlete, with strength, size, speed, hand eye coordination, the ability to throw a baseball like a lazer, vincent "bo" jackson, we'll never see another with his skill, strength, speed, he was like a comet, gone from competition much too soon, and just from the look on his face, wether it was at the ballpark or the gridiron, the look on his face was one of pure joy, that on the field of battle is where is shone the brighest !

    I never saw anyone actually run "around" the bases faster than Deion Sanders. Besides being blazingly fast, Deion had perfected the short inside leg stride that allowed him to run a perfect arc rounding each base at optimum angle and full speed....Absolute efficiency combined with World Class speed. He made Singles Doubles and Doubles into Triples with perfect technique....

    • @granvillewalkerjr.8394
      @granvillewalkerjr.8394 5 лет назад

      Find a highlight reel of Deion's athletic exploits. The speed, quickness and uncommon agility will be there in abundance. But what you won't see to any appreciable degree that will be all over Bo's footage is incredible strength. As either a football or baseball player, Bo was the perfect amalgamation of speed and power on either field. Both players had breakaway speed in the NFL, and both could leg out a triple, steal a base or make that incredible outfield catch. But Deion isn't throwing a football block or going against an MLB catcher at the plate to make the play. Bo on the other hand, got that added variable of power that puts him ahead of Sanders by far.

    Bo and deion are similarly fast but over 100 meters Bo would be able to maintain his speed better because he was stronger. Over 40 meters Deion would probably get him or it would be a tie in my opinion. Speed tests are either a test of quickness or muscle stamina.

      sanders sucked, why does everyone keep saying he was good at baseball?????? he never played more than 100 games in a season......you know they play 162 right? he was fast..........that is all, that doesnt mean good in any way

    • @onekmoore
      @onekmoore 6 лет назад +1

      Define good Bidwellz92. Is batting .300 for an entire career "good" to you? Because to fans who know anything at all, .300 will get you into the hall of fame, so we consider that great. Did Deion hit .300 for his career, no. But when you look at his stats, and consider he didnt play full time, his numbers are good. Wrap your brain around this one, if he was not good, why were teams willing to pay him to play at the top level of in a sport where teams literally have tons of players available to them in their minor league systems????????

    • @Bidwellz9
      @Bidwellz9 6 лет назад +1

      .300 doesnt get you in the hall. thereare numbers that do and .300 avg is not one of them. and bunting because youre fast doesnt mean .300 hitter smart guy

    • @onekmoore
      @onekmoore 6 лет назад

      So you are saying .300 is not the benchmark for a great hitter? And you're saying all he did was bunt because he was fast? Well damn, all those triples he got came from bunts, wow he must have been good then. Smart guy. (also I feel the need to point out that my last 2 sentences were 100% sarcasm, otherwise you probably wouldn't figure it out on your own)
      Not great, but good.

    • @Bidwellz9
      @Bidwellz9 6 лет назад +1

      do you even read ? .300 avg doesnt get you to the hall of fame. and sanders had speed which got him the base hits. he wasnt raking , are you too young to have watched him? you can play for 2 years and have a .300 avg are you getting in?? no. you need the numbers, there isnt a .300 hitter in the hall without more stats to put him there. its that simple. im not being a dick im just saying, certain numbers are needed batting avg isnt one of them.

    On a personal level.. Ken Griffy Jr. was the biggest asshole my father and I met in 15 years of getting autographs from baseball and basketball stars. He was actually prejudice and aggressively confrontational hinting at violence
