Very clear instructions and easy to do -- I changed both filters in less than a minute. So . . . all the negative comments surprised me but I have a theory about what happened. The device in the close-up at 00:13 is different from the one I have. The surface on mine is convex rather than concave and the contact areas for thumbs have a raised texture rather than concave arrows. Based on the feedback here, Phonak clearly realized the original device needed to be improved and did so. I don't understand why all the complaints as it works really well for me. Very simple to use. I think what needs to be emphasized is that you really need to give the end of the aid a good push into each hole - so you hear and feel the snap. Rotating is very easy, but there is a technique to learn and once learned no issues at all. That is use two thumbs over the front of the disk with your hands behind the disk - hold/press tight the disk and rotate the disk top facing you clockwise. Hope this helps - it is technique and once you learn it no problems. don't be afraid to rotate the top half facing you with your two thumbs on top - you can't damage anything as it clicks around clockwise. Good Luck all.

This is the worst contraption ever. I’m not even elderly and I can barely turn the device or get the filter in and out. Please fix. After buying the most expensive hearing aids you’d think this filter changer system would be easier to use. Very disappointed
If you're following the directions and can't get it to move, remove the top by running a thumbnail around the crack at the very edge of the device. Don't worry, you won't break it. Put it back on gently, with just enough force to snap top and bottom together. It will probably rotate easily after that. If not, leave the top off and put the whole works in a clean ziplock bag. Life's too short to waste time struggling with unforgivably bad design like this. Whoever designed this thing should be trapped for a hundred years in an elevator with buttons that light up at random and never do anything. My wife and I have both tried to work this thing and got nowhere--and I'm a pianist, my finger strength and dexterity are exemplary. To work this thing, you take each side in thumb and forefinger, then push forward with your left thumb, pull back with your right thumb, pull back with your left forefinger, and push forward with your right forefinger (got all that?)--all at the same time. Do your forefingers belong on the center of the back or on the ring around it? Who knows, it doesn't work either way. Why does it need two hands in the first place? Did Phonak forget that a lot of elders have impaired use of one or both hands? Why does the design not even tell you when you're on the right track? This is the most barfucious piece of user-hostile design I've seen in years, and I used to work on Cisco routers.
My hearing aid provider closed permanently, so now when the old guard won't come off, I have to pay another provider to do what I should be able to do myself at home. $70! This system sucks like a bilge pump on an aircraft carrier. I think I'm going to file a warranty claim with the manufacturer.
This is an appalling piece of design. My audiologist struggled to rotate the disc when demonstrating it to me and with my older hands I find it impossible. Please redesign it to make it suitable for older clients.
Totally useless crap. It gets stuck and it is impossible to move. Have to use a thumbnail around the crack at the very edge of the device in order to get it to work as designed.
This must be one of the worst designs ever - followed closely by the design and construction of the ridiculously large black container Phonak have produced. Changing programmes on a smartphone is also a complete pain. Bluetooth is hit and miss at best. I've had many serious doubts about the wisdom of having invested so much in what is a seriously flawed product. The opaque Cerushield Disk is actually retrograde in terms of usability and probably near impossible if at all arthritic or with less than 20/20 vision.
Definitely a thumbs down. I consider myself pretty damn clever, but I'm glad I still had some stick-type filters to save my a## just before leaving the country for five weeks! The disk will go into the trash.
Whoever invented this system should be fired immediately! Terrible, not usable. I have to crack the box with violance to get to the filters. Really very stupid
I JUST SPENT 1 HOUR AND 10 MIN, CHANGING THE FILTERS. I AM YOU KNOW THAT SENIORS ARE YOUR BIGGEST MARKET AND THE OLDERS YOU GET THE MORE YOU LOSE WITH DEXTURITY AS WELL AS YOUR VISION. YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED WITH YOUR CURRENT SYSTEM
Exactly, that's what I spend changing my filters too, and I'm only 59 years old, I've tried every tricks in the book, and still I'm fighting this shyte!

Excellent video. However, it was very distracting. I've watched this video now 11 times and have yet to change a filter......
How in the world is it distracting? Other than the fact she is extremely sexy!!! 😍
See how you are.
I completely agree with your assessment of the disc. 2:17
Why to you TELL me - I cannot hear! Please SHOW me with written instructions. Thank you.

LIKE THE VIDEO. GARY WILBUR, NOT CAROL. TEE HEE.
Seems very cheap for a device that cost you an arm and a leg
Agree with everyone here. Horrible design and impossible to turn. Just broke one apart with pliers and will use that way.
WRONG
You may have an earlier or later version, which is different and has caused some problems and confusions for others.
Exactly, that's what I spend changing my filters too, and I'm only 59 years old, I've tried every tricks in the book, and still I'm fighting this shyte!
the disk sucks poor design It is very easy confusing since you may end up reusing an old cerushield since the disk keep turning. also for people with arthritis is is difficult to turn the disk. the stick system was way better
Very helpful thank you!
