I have a 28 year old special needs daughter, who since one year has been in a special care facility. I took care of her 27 years but when her Dad left 13 years ago, it became harder especially with a full time job. After my precious passed away of the CVD in 2021, I started worrying about my daughter‘s future should something happen to me. I found a really beautiful full care facility where she is well set up, she loves it so much there that she does not want to come home on the weekends and gets upset when I visit her 3x a week. But, I‘ve had to really speak up on the caregiving which was (considering how much it costs - a small fortune), was really sub-par and I was shocked to the point that I considered taking my daughter out again (I am 60 years old). So, because my daughter loves it so much there, I did not but I would go there every evening after work to check up on her until I completely exhausted myself and almost had a car accident one evening after work when I visited her and going home fairly late on the road. I was so tired that I overlooked another car. Beloved T.K. Is spot on about sometimes, the control is because one is aware of other people‘s lack of caring or sloppiness.

I find it difficult to trust others driving, especially long distances. But even when going to a local event, I prefer to be able to leave when I choose instead of waiting until (the driver) is ready. As far as long trips, no one is a better judge than me as when to make a bladder stop, stretch, or feed my belly.✌️

Jonathan you said a lot and still missed the point of her question. Often control freaks grew up in chaos and learned that the only rhing they caould count on was what they controlled.
