6:28 I still don't understand about max frame latency. How max frame latency set from 1 to 2 make the fps 180? Since your monitor is 144Hz. You used 3x frame generation, but cap only on 144fps, because your max frame latency is 1.
Good question. So based on my understanding, max frame latency if set from 1 to 2 (For NVIDIA), it doubles the allowed fps to be above refresh rate. So if you have 144 hz, the max should be 288 fps cap. This is done only if you wish to get consistent frame pacing based on your fps cap. For example: if you get constant fps stable at 68 and you want to use x3. It will go way above refresh rate 144hz. Therefore you need to set max frame latency to 2. The key of frame pacing is to get consistent divisible fps equally.
@@ZArkadia-lc3fp oh so max frame latency in nutshell, go beyond monitor refresh rate. But about the frame pacing. You go beyond monitor refresh rate, and limit it to your monitor refresh rate. So you can get same fps as your monitor refresh rate right? Or am i wrong?
@@riufq not exactly. It's all about fps calculation. It all depends what fps stable you get and what mode you are going to use. If I get 55fps stable and I want to use x3 and I have 144hz monitor, you need to increase frame latency to 2. If you don't do this, the 55x3 165 and then it will cap the fps to 144 since you set to 1 frame latency. 144 is not divisible evenly by 55.
Only use this program for FIrst Person Perspective and Singleplayer games , but yes. Pretty good otherwise. Right now I recommend it only to people who gets under 60 fps with Low settings , apart from that we need to wait more or use the Frame generation from inside the games as they have less artifacts and looks way better.
@ZArkadia-lc3fp i recommend turning resolution down and upscaling, and using Frame gen at the same time. That gives a massive boost in fps. Brought me from 230 to 625 fps in fortnite when I use 4x frame gen

I have a problem with the WCX API. I played Black Myth Wukong and capped my FPS to 30 (i have a 60hz Monitor), but when i scale it with WCX it makes no difference. I can see that the FPS at the top left corner tell me i have around 60-80fps (Remember FPS capped at 30, via Rivaturner, also tried it in-game), but it feels the complete same. Not smoother or anything. Game is in Borderless screen.
So the thing is, most of the time 60hz monitor won't benefit at all from lossless. This is because your fps is at 30 fps and input lag and artefact will noticeably higher. Also you misunderstood the concept of smoothness, the smoothness what they mentioned is having a higher fps. Since you can only get 60 fps max, then that's the max smoothness you get. That's why it's recommended to get high refresh rate monitor
Sir my laptop spec is Ryzen 5 7430U processor with AMD Radeon igpu vega 7, 16 gb single channel ram, 1080p 60hz screen. I only get 25 fps in RDR 1 1080p lowest graphics. But the downside is there are a lot of water ripple like effects all over the screen whenever I move the camera or character in the game. Please tell me how to fix it
@@Mythical.History the water ripple is what we call artefact or ghosting. And there is no way to fix that because the base fps is too low to determine the image stability. Usually you will need at least stable 30 or 60 fps to have minimal ghosting. 60 being the best
It's simple: 1. To reach optimum max refresh rate of your monitor 2. Better frame pacing. 3. The latency can be reduced with Nvidia reflex from RTTS very significantly making it almost as if latency isn't added before frame gen 4. You struggled to get even 80 real fps, you cap to 48 fps and stable even 1% low, you x3. You got 144 fps. Win

Okay this is purely because of overusage gpu power. As I said, lossless scaling needs some GPU room resources. So if the game is already at 99%, it will make some room for LS and cause Fps drop. The way to solve this is to put Performance mode in LS and then reduce some settings in Game to give some headroom

Dlss and lsfg can coexist as long as Nvidia frame gen is not activated. If it does, while it works but you get twice more latency and that's not good.

Input lag is mostly fixed if you have high base FPS. Preferably above 45 FPS.
You can also reduce it via RTTS Nvidia reflex or AMD Anti lag.
