- CRAZY FAST ! Nitro RC Pylon Racing
These nitro powered pylon racers are blistering quick. So quick that the competitors fly their RC aircraft in knife edge for the entire race because there is not enough time (or the need) between pylons to level them out ! Amazing skill and coordination.
Filmed at the BMFA Power Nationals 2019 with the Panasonic AG-UX180 4K pro camcorder by Dom Mitchell of 'Essential RC' RUclips channel.

The engine sound is really cool! The speed is very fast!~~
Makes me dizzy just watching. Wow!
sounds like two bobcats fighting each other
Great stuff, guess you need the control speak of a fly. Did well keeping up with those Dom 👍🏻
I can fly like this,
in ultra unrealistic sims lol
That was insane Dom! To quick for me mate lol 😂
Too quick for me buddy! Don't know how they do it
I'd love to know what kind of g forces they're pulling on those turns.
The F3D-planes go around 320km/h in the turn at Pylon 1 and the flown half circle has a radius of 19m on Pylon 1. Hence, (((320/3.6)^2)/19)/9.81 = 42.29 g forces.
Bro 😳 the cops are coming.
Great information on Essential RC and your camera, but what class event or engine size was this race?
I often don't get a chance to ask as I'm moving around quickly filming as much action as possible. If you'd like to know more about my camera be sure to let me know.
Any POV of this?
POV? You mean FPV? No, sorry.
😳😳😳…couldn’t find any pylons or how do they find their turning marks? Wow, do they use gps sensors? Anyway, pretty cool 😎
There are pylons, they are just thin metal bars. They also have light signals which turn on when the plane is far enough out to turn around.
@@GameOversized thanks Jannik👍…never seen it live, it’s definitely not boring at all😎
What the!!! 😸
I love to fly one of those glow engine planes. I might make mine unique and go with an engine that spins at 40,000 rpms
No nitro. 80/20 alcohol/castor FAI fuel.
The crash would be terrible
That is ridiculous I bet you got a bit dizzy.
Strangely not, the 5.4 seconds per round is just high enough to not get dizzy. Notice on the long 180m straight part of the course, your body is not turning or slightly. This small 2.5 seconds break is sufficient to not get dizzy.
