  • Hello all!
    Welcome to my channel and my first ever motovlog!
    I'll be going by the name of EMTOH for the near future. If I feel comfortable revealing some more details, then I might. But we shall roll with that for now :)
    I am a new rider that only just got his license a few weeks back out of a random desire to start riding a motorbike. I think the want came up about 4-5 weeks ago. From there it has been day and night motorcycle content injected into my veins. Probably hundreds of hours of videos watched about everything motorbikes. From Educational videos to reviews and other motovlogs. I have watched A LOT.
    My favorite video style to this date has been the "Beginner rider gets their first bike" type of content. I love watching people get into the culture and enjoy seeing how they ride for the first time. I wanted to do that and give you guys my rendition of that experience. I spent a lot of time setting up my recording set up and (despite the mistake on this video) its quite solid!
    I apologize for this first video being overexposed and for my breathing. I forgot to attach my GoPro's lens filter and had it set up around that filter. My breathing is also just some bad settings on my microphone which I will try and rectify in the next upload. I also have a chin-mount coming for my GoPro in a few days which will help fix camera placement. At the moment its on top of my XL helmet. The updated view should show my bike, hands and the road in one shot.
    I really hope you guys enjoy the video and smile as much as I did!

    Recommend you go to an Motorcycle Safety Foundation course or whatever is similar where you are from and learn how to ride properly. @IN_ZANE_ 6 месяцев назад

      @@EMTOHyt Nice, yeah I do 2 fingers on the clutch, 2 on the bar. Even at a stop. Clutch lever squishes bar fingers slightly and limits the total lever travel. First bit of lever travel is dead space so makes everything easier/more control because the bite point is less delayed, It helps with take off, stalling and smoother gear changes too.

    • @EMTOHyt
      @EMTOHyt  6 месяцев назад

      @@IN_ZANE_ That's wild, you've read my mind completely. This is exactly the same for me. Bite point is right before you squish your fingers.
      My only issue is that my gloves hurt my ring finger cause of the plastic pushing on it. So, it's constantly sore. Getting some new gloves that will hopefully fix it.

    • @IN_ZANE_
      @IN_ZANE_ 6 месяцев назад

      @@EMTOHyt Ah your gloves got those chunky plastic sliders on the fingers yeah?
      You could try adjusting the lever angle not sure if that would really help. The slim rubber or superfabric style sliders don't really hurt (what my gloves have), and some gloves actually have the sliders on the pointer/middle but not on the ring/pinky which would be ideal.

      @EMTOHyt  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@IN_ZANE_ Yeah I technically have gauntlets and they're just too much. I can't even use my phone without taking them off. In terms of the kick when getting in gear, I’ve been told that’s normal. My bike still does it. Apparently some manufacturers are worse than others.
      For the rolling forward, might be your clutch not being adjusted right. Cause it shoooould stay dead still and just roll around freely when you have it pulled all the way in. Although if you rev the bike, sometimes it does roll forward a bit, I think it’s maybe the clutch plates still grabbing as they’re separated. But don’t quote me.

    How do you like the mt 07 im between that one and the mt03. Just passed my msf and excited to get riding

      It’s a beautiful bike. Plenty of power, not too heavy and it looooks gooooood.
      It’s bloody quick compared to the MT03. If you think you’ll get sick of the 03 quickly, maybe just get the 07 and take ur time learning. I don’t think I’ll be selling my 07 ever unless I have to because I move or something. It’s perfect imo

      Definitely the mt07. The only dealbreaker I’d say is if you’re really short and you need a really light bike to start with. But even then I’d still say go mt07. Much better option. As long as you take it slow while you’re learning. (Don’t have to ride around 20 under the limit, but just don’t do silly things)

      Ay bro, good luck to you as well!
      I was tossing up the same thing and I went for comfort. Tho if you are thinking of doing high speed riding, R7 probably better choice. The MT-07 is WINDY

      @@Davnyonbikeit’s not too bad bro, I don’t ride an mt07 but I ride a supermoto with obviously no wind protection. It’s bad at first but u definitely get used to it, it’s worse on windy days too. It’s bareable upto like 140-150kph as long as it isn’t windy, for me atleast.
