NEW CAMERA ANGLES ON A MOTORBIKE?
This video won't be replacing my weekly Monday uploads! Just wanted to post some more content 😋
Decided to mess around and play with camera angles now that I can use my old GoPro Hero 10 for cool B-roll shots. During the day, these shots turn out so sick. Hella aesthetic 😎. And the exhaust on the MT sounds soooooo good.

Now that I finally have a custom exhaust on the bike, motovlogs will sound so much better! Just picked up my mt07 today, had a short 10 min ride before I had to go to work. Omg I’m in love, also wonder how it’s learners approved. It’s crazy fun and fast for learners.

What's the sweet spot to put mic on bag? I've been doing audio tests of my own.
@@MichauxJHyatt Yo, it depends. I basically just try to block the mic from any direct wind. The new exhaust is plenty loud to get clearly captured as long as the mic has no wind.

I just ran to side of someone’s car because they weren’t paying attention. It is what it is I guess I’m just recovering in the hospital. Hoping to recover quickly and be back out on the road with potentially a different bike. Ride safe

@@leespender4774 I just realised the Siri text to speech completely botched that last message. For the most part, makes sense though. I’m a bit nervous because when I had to call the police station, they didn’t actually have my report on file and that was like three days later. So I’m hoping it was just a delay in processing the report by the officers that were on site. But if all the reports are gathered correctly, then yeah, I won’t be at fault at all

@@bredman2288 yeah bro whack. I like dropped off all my camera gear on Sunday at home. Then went for another ride and that’s when I had the accident when I was like 10 seconds from getting home after that ride.

@@bredman2288 dude, i knoooow. It really is disappointing. And like funny enough this crash was not my fault at all so like I guess I was right with what I said. The person that pulled out in front of me quite literally just didn’t look and just completely cut me off. I didn’t have time to stop. I just went flyyyying over her car.

Like I should? Or are you asking for them? If the former, it’s just from my attempt at color grading the log footage. I need to fix it. If the latter, it’s 100-12800 (the Action 5s max). I haven’t even turned on the “night mode” setting. Mostly cause then it’s in 24fps and I’d prefer 60. So footage comes out a fair bit darker
@@EMTOHyt dont you think 30fps better captures the speed and thrill of riding bikes? I use an action 3 and this is what I've concluded recently
I've come from PC gaming and am used to smooth frame rate, so to me 24/30 fps is quite jarring to watch. It might look more cinematic, but it feels dated for content like motovlogs imo. If I do some kind of cinematic, I might consider doing a 24/30 fps video though
@@EMTOHyt im also a pc gamer. Im used to playing at 144hz but i believe the thrill of riding a motorcycle is best captured in 30fps 1/60. Try pulling a clip with that and tell me what you think

Hey bud keep an eye out for firmware updates. At the moment the Action 5 has a SEVERE reduction in bitrate in an attempt to keep file sized down but it nuked some fine quality in the video. They are going to push a firmware update soon to address it however.
I heard about this! I think I mention it in the vid too. Keen for that. I don’t notice a crazy difference but maybe cause I’m on a bike with motion blur. Still looking forward to the option tho. I’ll be doing it

Yeah bro the new camera is crazy, looks way better. Mad video as always 💯 Also u could try putting some pressure on the shifter before you shift up/down, same as when you’re clutch-less shifting but still use the clutch. Try it out bro it might make the 1-2 shift a bit smoother.
Thank you man! Slowly figuring out the settings for it. I think I have it down, just working on making it look better in post. I have tried shifting like that before, I'll try again. I do remember it being good. I think with how I currently shift, if I am going hard I upset the bikes suspension, and the handlebars shake hahaha. Too much force on the shifter with my foot. I don't kick into Neutral anywhere near as much as I used to, but I still do haha.
@@EMTOHyt 🤣 yeah I used to shift pretty hard, not really slamming it but a forceful click, but it started wearing down the teeth on the shifter/shift shaft and loosening it, so I go easier on it now. I still pop into neutral here and there too, mainly when I’m taking off fast and not as focused on my foot 😂 I try to keep the 1-2 shift a bit more slower/focused and the rest I just hammer it 🤣 but my first gear is pretty short so it’s not like Im staying in it for long

Heheheh, I have been running the Mic 2 kit since my very first vid! One is indeed in my helmet and the other on my back somewhere, whether on the jacket or clipped to my backpack. Unfortunately, I had it to my waist in this vid on the Tuesday night group ride and the noise cancelling kept turning on and off, so some of the audio got botched.
