I have noticed many of the behaviors that you described in this video. A few years ago, I had a kitty named Kootie, a Norwegian Forest cat; now, sadly, gone to the Rainbow Bridge but she was 16 y.o. She was a guard cat like I've never had because she would actually growl and pace at the door to go after any perceived threat to the house or, if traveling, to the car. if I had a repairman come, I'd have to introduce her as a friendly person but she (and her sister) would still closely watch over the repair just to make sure all remained well. And weather of any sort did not bother her; she loved to go out on her leash and see what was going on. People think that only dogs can guard but kitties will, too, if you know what to look for. My current kitty, Ava, is a complete scaredy cat. She doesn't mind women but men and children totally freak her out. However, she will still perform her guard duties as noted in the video especially watching over me. I've had many kitties over the years and almost all of them love to sit down and "talk" to me. I listen and pet them. I don't always understand what they are saying but then they always patiently listen to me when I tell my troubles to them. They also love to "help" when I'm working sewing anything whether clothing, quilts or embroidery. And they always think that my project materials must be "approved" by them. Once in a while they show their disapproval of something by doing the "burying" of it; funny thing is they're often right.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and your cat adventures with all of us. We at CAT Kitty Capriccio can only say that you never stop learning from cats. Every day near them is pure joy and they give us wisdom in every moment spent with them. Thanks again for your beautiful and detailed comment! We Meow you ❤
