He's flourishing because the Vets are steering him in right direction, having OBJ and Lamar as his mentors shows. Hope to see him kill it in the playoffs. I love how they all got serious once RC asked about his mom and brother 36:56.
@DoJoStan Zay is flourishing I believe due to his upbringing and the challenges he’s faced. His smile and positivity is palpable. He is truly in touch with the innate nature of being human
I can’t lie , listening to him talk about how his Dad raise all his siblings is amazing. Didn’t run away, complained just took care of his responsibilities. Nothing against the ladies out there but when I hear stories like this it brought a tear to my eye .
Man I’m doing it with 2 and I’m struggling 😂😂 rip to they mom tho we was best friends and soulmates so I learned a lot but I couldn’t imagine 15/16 kids. My pops got 16 kids literally but we spread out lol
The joy of Zay… I am a writer, and I can’t think of any words to adequately describe it. To understand what he’s experienced, and how he handles it. It’s nothing short of awe inspiring. This is coming from a middle aged man, born in bred in Baltimore. Whether it was personal or a vicarious experience… I’ve gone through and seen many others go through ~ and very few people have this kind of “joy”. A long time fan of the game, and keen observer for decades, this Ravens team, is my absolute favorite team. It has nothing to do with them being a great team. Man, this guy's amazing. My old man and I met him maybe a month ago at a signing and he was nothing but smiles the entire time. Took time to talk to the little kids, shook everyone's hands. He's just the best. Happy he's a Raven
It’s disgusting it took the ambulance that long to get Zays mother to the hospital. I’m not surprised, happens to others in the city but as you see so many of these people are good and deserve better. Glad for this young man now.
Ya it’s fukd up I ain’t gon lie but I’m frm Florida and if u remember hurricane Wilma it was so much goin on in the city so much break-in’s vandalism robbin etc. so I’m not surprised they took that long but that’s still sad to hear how he explained it
I might not finish the interview cause I’m a dad raising 2 girls and they mother/my fiancé passed so tbh it hits a little to close to home to finish the interview. Brother passed as well so I look at myself and my situation and I look at Zay and how strong he is and breakdown man cause I feel so weak compared to him but helps me want to push and do better. Glad those of us who went through trauma can make it out of that dark place and succeed
@@lawrencemalone-px6qeRemember, you are the one bearing their load of responsibility!!! Of course it affects children!!! BUT they can't & aren't meant to fully grasp the weight of that responsibility of being a single parent, & dealing with grief & trauma. Plus there's a resiliency that some kids have. Its obvious that Zae had a lot of love & support from his siblings, which he definitely talked about!!! But u could definitely tell that the loss of his older brother wz much harder on him!!!
To see bro smiling after going thru so much is so motivational, growing up in Baltimore city we can relate to his story. And he implements what everybody should REMEMBER. True STEELERS fan but I’m impressed with this young man’s talent, ability and performance on the field - I am more impressed with his perseverance through everything he overcame.
This interview was superb from the intro to the final words. This guy is the epitome of resiliency. LJ and Zay come from humble beginnings, and you can see their pure love for God, Life and Family. Go Ravens!!
just found a whole new respect for Zay, didn’t have any faith in his size but he’s got a huge heart, ALL DAWG Rest in peace to his mom and brother, know they watchin and guiding you on your journey, love brudda ✊🏾
I think the fact Lamar is a 2 time MVP winner from literally treating the best players in the world like little league comp is by far the most impressive thing I’ve heard about Lamar. The man is past a different level he beat the game
What a great interview . We already loved Zay here in Baltimore. But this interview allowed us to get to know his story which makes his success even better. I love how he came in and complimented Lamar and early on knew how to adlib . Like Lamar Jackson likes to do . I am so proud of my ravens. Keep going young bulls .
I think it would be a great story to show the black women of Baltimore who are fans which for sure is influenced by the relationship Lamar has with his mom...Tonya you made me realize this as a Lamar Jackson fan in way in S.central los angeles..
Thank you so much for showing us and sharing with us another side of these amazing athletes. I'm so proud of Zay. I met him after the Jags game. Wated for them to come out. He took the time to sign my ball along with Roquan Smith. Man, i can't tell you how much that meant to me. I'm in tears. Good luck and God bless. I love my Ravens! Your family, the team, and your health will be in my and our fans prayers. Go get your young man.
Heart felt story talking about his life, took me on a journey of emotional highs and lows. Through adversities one is made strong...and Zay is showing that he's resilient. Much respect to his dad for being there for them all. All that I can say is, "another one"! You guys are a great team. Good health, peace and blessings to all who read this!🙏🏾✌🏾♥️💪🏾🛡️
Hats off to Zay dad who shows and live his life as an example to all black men that we love our kids and we all aren't dead beats but get on the grind and be real men for our families. It shows in Zay!
