Chris Sarandon (Fright Night, The Princess Bride) joins us this week for an amazing episode full of classic film nostalgia, openness on being humbled at the heights of success, and reflection on an illustrious career. Chris shares several behind the scenes stories of landing roles during auditions including how nerves helped propel his performance during his read with Al Pacino for his break in Dog Day Afternoon. We also talk about which film sent him on a mission of discovery and reflection in Africa, his favorite Andre the Giant story, and his relationship with his first wife Susan Sarandon.

All Time ANDRE THE GIANT Story on Set of the PRINCESS BRIDE #insideofyou #andrethegiant
That Andre the Giant story made me laugh AND cry. Rest In Peace, Andre.
That really was happy and sad.
Everyone's reaction when someone says they have an Andre The Giant story... "Say it!"
Damn, Humperdink aged well! Just rewatched Princess Bride last week, it’s a near perfect film ❤
It truly is… there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t regret not going to see that movie with my mom when she asked me to go. When I heard the name of the movie the Princess bride, I thought it was a chick flick, so I had no interest in going. How wrong. I was about that movie.
Andre the giant was a national treasure to any kid living in the 80s on Saturday morning after cartoons. This actor as well I always love this guy. Yes, thank him for telling us a story about André.
Chris was great in Fright Night.
Saw that film in 87 at summer camp! I was 10. That was weird.
He’s also great as Jack Skellington
Run towards me or run away from me; such a profound statement.
RIP Andre! 😢
Damn! That’s Chris Sarandon! Fright Night!
Great Vampire flick!
Being a Pro Wrestling fan all my life, that sounds like something Andre would say, a fortunate/miserable existence being him.
I would have loved to know that man. Always smiling. 😊
I have not seen that but I do enjoy these interviews that bring back this wonderful actor whom I have loved and admired years ago and never forgot
Anybody want a peanut?
Stop rhyming and I mean it! :)
No more rhyming now, I mean it! 😅
Ay, it's the reverend from Bordello Of Blood xD
Is there a bad actor from the princess bride? Because all of them seem just amazing to me.
Some people like me already know that that's Chris Sarandon... From 'The Sentinel's fame..
"I am one of the leeeeeeegggiooooonnn"
Why do you never put the names of your guests in your titles.
Took me a while to put a name to a face but it’s Chris Sarandon, Susan’s ex husband and Jack Skeletington’s speaking voice.
Clicking on the description is too much for you?
I think Prince Humperdink and Jerry Dandrige are the same person. We know Humperdink survives the end of the film. I think he used "the machine" to steal years from people and prolong his lifespan. Somehow or other this made him into a vampire.
Has made a joke out of this for years and it’s exactly the thing that Andre hated. People treating him like a freak and making a joke out of it.
I have a feeling Andre may have understood where the little children were coming from.
I don't think he made a joke; he just told an anecdote with an actual quote from Andre.
this story sucked, I want my 2 minutes back
Liked Sarandon in st:ds9
