This is a great video, I just bought mine for ten dollars but I will say the one I received did smell like mold and a lot of the rubber has chipped off (due to sitting in a warehouse for years). But for ten dollars you can't beat that nor can I complain. I did soaked my pack in water with dish soap twice and the smell was greatly reduced. Other than that I do love this Belgian rucksack and it is perfect for a day hike in the woods.
Yes, "That dude has something we want", and if he is packing and knows what he is doing, he may even have something you don't want. Like big trouble. That is a great buy, even if all you use it for is extra clothing and stuff in the trunk of your car. Thank you for the video.
WOW! Only 20 bucks for that pack! Ive been looking for a good ruck sack day pack and that fits the bill! I'm going to start hiking again an i need a day pack! Thanks for sharing George!
Thanks, yeah its pretty amazing, I am thinking about making it day pack for hiking and stuff as I have more than enough bug out bags lol so this would serve a good purpose for that.
Thanks! I’m really peeved, now I have to purchase another damn pack. Literally received the British MTP field pack last evening, thinking it was bout perfect. It is a great pack & it can be turned into a back pack using the shoulder strap it comes with. However, this damn pack you just reviewed is exactly what I’ve been looking for by trial & error! Only $13? Sold & finally done. 😁
I have the MTP field pack also. I really like it. I added an short strap between the two upper D - rings for a carry handle. That helps. I keep looking for some better straps to make it more comfy for using as a backpack.
i have one the only negative i can say in 5 years of use is the green material flaked of a bit but thats only cosmetic let me know when you turn it into a get home bag please
Now there's a coincidence. I subscribed today, and picked up my Belgian rucksack. No connection and not even on the same country. Bought it out of curiousity.
Appreciate the presentation. I need a bag to take on a flight (not quite the intended use), and am wondering if this can be done up tight enough to be 25cm high? 😬
After watching your video I’ve decided to look into purchasing one, and I have a few questions. I was wondering, do you still have yours, and if so, do you use it? Lastly how is it holding up, and if you would consider doing an updated video on it? Thankyou!
Yup I still have it, use it for my car emergency gear and its holding up well. I should do an update on it, I have not even checked to see if its still being sold on that site.

You have a good point about the retro aspect. You could just shoe goo some Velcro to the drag handel to keep it down.
Reminds me of my French F2 rucksack. Very similar, with my ruck having bigger side pockets.
Looking for your video when you get this bag setup. Thanks for sharing your video with us.
Thank you so much for this video I'm a new disaster response member on a budget so this bag solves my issue due to being on a super tight budget
Cool, Yeah I am still using it and its holding up very well.
Noice! Tfs. It’s a great find. Many blessings and take care, Nikki.
Great review, I'm going to get one for the front of my brompton!

Right. Getting one.
Combine it with a webbing set with a couple of kidney pouches and canteens, and you're laughing

I have one, and mine has twist clasps for the side pockets. Sadly, I paid almost $20 for mine...

Just ordered 2 of these. One to keep original and one to experiment with modifications.
Been looking for a decent bag thanks for sharing, got mine
Not gonna be using that thing for any stealth missions. That thing sounds like christmas morning around the christmas tree
you could put a stiff sheet in the pocket right behind the straps if you want to stiffen it up a little
Or a German Army folding mat...
@@Pygar2 that's a good idea.
@@Pygar2 Tight squeeze but yes it works.
I actually like this pack reminds me of prior to a.l.i.c.e. system
I love surplus. That mess kit is awesome but shipping sucks. On another note, i have a package opening of a packaflame based off your video
You could also hang a water bottle from the irritating loop on the top of it.
Also thrive has got the best peach drink that I’ve ever tasted.
No Content No Content Where would you get the industrial Velcro at?
now that's real nice bag for the price, couldn't go wrong

Cool, Welcome!
As I get older I'm beginning to hate molle and tactical gear and I been carrying more magazines in a messenger bags and in packs
Yep outside of using it for it's intended purpose it's to big of a flag. I did a group of videos explaining why it's not the best choice.
Do these packs bounce around a lot without the waist strap
Yup, a definite bargain. Closer to 10-15 litres, not 40 though!! A slightly bigger version and better built is the French F2 pack???
yes. its volume is 20 liters.
Great review! Thanks!
Appreciate the presentation.

It will not fit a yugoslavian mess kit. The flap for the pocket won't seal. It is just the slightest bit too small...
Does this bounce up and down alot when jogging

Excelling Bag!
Wow..me never would have thought that it was actually that big
Think I found my next bag very cool
Are the pockets the pass-thru type? That would be great!
No, sadly they are not. Just a pocket on each side.
Thirteen dollars... that's a gallon of gas in my car!
Damn where do you live, a gallon of gas is a $ 1.98 here. Do you refine it your self.
Germany 6€ \ 6$.
I thought major surplus n survival went freeze dried
No, they are all miliary surplus stuff, decent stuff too, I had forgotten all about them.
It looks like it's compatible with 37 webbing. :)
