Pay attention - for the OM601 there are 2 different types of them (72hp or 75hp are different). You can see them simply - the angled sitting in the head or straight down. Straight sitting: KCA30S44. Angled sitting: KCA27S55. Both should be 115bar.
@@IgorLapa If in remember correctly, mercedes maintenance book for 123 and 124 diesels recommended fuel injector testing and rebuilding service (if needed) every 160 000 kms, to prevent possible nailing and leaking injectors. Small things save engine life in long run. 😃👍
Hi Jens, i replaced the head gasket because of leaking a bit of oil and sent the injectors for testing. The result was - 1 was already leaking, so i decided to replace all 4 because I found the old stock original 4 injectors for only 250EUR.

@IgorLapa oh I never knew injectors have a different pressure before seating. I didnt realise they were like an engine that needs running in too, that's so cool. Do you need to treat them like a new engine too, where you can't go over a certain rev range or something? I have learned something. The most important stuff is - in case you ever will replace that orings on the pump outlets - pay attention to replace that copper rings too and to tighten the nuts extremely precise, also it must be very clear. To balance the pump pressure, timing - that is very rare, if you will find someone, who still can do it. To be honest - that engines will go, go, go....even they are not perfectly set up ) The real Mercedes-Benz

Replaced just to be safe)
On the video they are very new, so sounding still rough, about 100km i think.

@@amgjens indeed, they are much more smooth and less weight than om615/617 but almost same reliable

@@t.8750 They are new. Shaking was caused by the air in the pressure diesel tubes. After another xxxKm - shaking disappeared.

Such injectors have in the beginning a bit higher opening pressure, which normalize after some time.
