Heavenly beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Kathleen Ferrier was and is one of the kind. what a voice heavenly!!!!
The first time I heard this recording I thought, "too slow!" But then Ferrier starts singing and it all made sense.
By far the finest recording of the Agnus Dei!
I believe this is the version that reduced Karajan to tears. Can quite understand why.
Because he was the one who conducted it?
Sends shivers down my spine. Sublime!
Thanks for the original manuscript of the composition.
A belgian priest in Calcutta introduced me to Kathleen ferrier....that was 1990's...he had a record...an LP....
Kathleen Ferrier and J S Bach a perfect combination.
Another recording from the Great Contralto.
Latin English

Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi |Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world,
miserere nobis. |have mercy on us.
Agnus Dei, qui tolis peccata mundi |Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world,
dona nobis pacem. |grant us peace.
C'est une voix si habitée, si boulversante.
