This is WAY over the top....WAY....I work in the NHS and all i can say is, a married guy in my dept was flirting majorly with a few female colleagues, phone numbers were exchanged, basically a whole load of shit went down, and lets just say I've been told on good authority that the guy was sending messages that were "full on" he got suspended after one of the girls played the victim to the max, she went long term "sick" on full pay, he got SUSPENDED, an equiry intonit all took place, one of the females stayed in her job,the one on long term sick got FIRED, and he stayed in his job!!, so to sack Jermaine is way to harsh until its fully investigated.

Well i won't comment on what jermaine jenas did or didn't do or say. But i will say i remember the old days when a man would wolf whistle at a woman and she would smile and carry on walking and the man didn't expect the police to come and kick his door in and haul him off to a cell at 6am the next morning. Or when a man and woman could openly and harmlessly flirt without anyone being jailed, sacked or openly reviled by the entire world. But those are the days when men and women actually dated and got married and had children, unlike now where lots of people in their 30s and 40s live alone, where people have to go to certain websites to get a date, where the birth rate has dropped dramatically and where a woman has a better chance of dating another woman than any man has. And yeah, you can say I'm an old dinosaur if you like. But dinosaurs were doing fine until that comet hit the earth. Now the comet is called puritanical and it's causing a lot of damage to human relationships.

How can we possibly know whether or not this is 'a bit extreme' until we see what was put in those text messages? But using my skill and judgement I would say it was probably pretty bad if the BBC felt the need to fire someone. And in such a high profile position with several lines of massive income you would have to be pretty daft to publish such stuff. These people live in a totally different world.
