      I'm guessing he was in a more senior position. If it was a woman in a more senior position then she should get the sack. It sounds like there was more than one woman too.
      It's quite simple really, don't sext women in the office, particularly if you are in a more senior role and you are married. It doesn't mean that single men can't ask women out who are at a similar level to them.

    He is only confessing because his lawyers have told him there is irrefutable evidence ie: the texts and WhatsApp. No, it isnt illegal as originally stated, but he has abused his position and now been caught lying. I think the BBC will be extremely tough about these things going forward to try and salvage their reputation. It's his poor wife and kids I feel sorry for.

    Its all a far cry from my mum and dads generation. My mum used to work as a secretary for a London stockbrokerage firm in the 1980's. She told me her and the rest of the secretaries would frequently get chatted up by the stock brokers and get pinched and slapped on the bum. They just all laughed it off and enjoyed their lives.

      It doesn't need to be a crime to lose his job. My mums ex boss was sacked for watching porn. Many hours of porn on company computers in company time. This man sat overlooking 5 women that whole time, doing no work at all while getting paid more! No crime committed, but obviously this was a sackable offence. I'm guessing whatever went on with this presenter was during work hours and probably quite creepy.

The Lineker issue where he repeatedly broke his contract to not be political was ok but sexting other adults isn't ok..very strange, as there are large discrepancies in approach by the BBC it is a fair question to ask.
      Personally, I think it's the BBC being rudderless rather than racist but it does look suspicious. This is likely just the point where they are starting to take their responsibilities seriously. All of these clowns earn more than the PM of the lnad...how is that not an issue.

    Unbelievable. From what I can work out is that a few adults sent a few saucy messages to each other. He’s now lost everything when the reality is it should be between him and his wife due to the “cheating”. I bet the female receivers of the messages loved the attention, he didn’t take it any further and now she’s grassed him up.
