No, the first electric guitar was a plank of wood fitted with strings and a pickup. It was called the log and is located in an electric guitar history museum I think. No acoustic guitar modification happened there. Rob Scallon has a cool video on it.

They only play brand new strings. And they have no idea we simply remove a set of strings carefully. They always cut and pay these 15 dollars for a new set of strings. Sad, but true.

those string set deserved a second chance, please, stop making residue when not necessary. With a good degreaser they would sounded good. I don't dig the so called Luthiers or guitar techs always clipping the strings out instead of trying to recicle them.

I dont know if they still exist, but I "inherited" my dad's FG-180, from the 70's I think, and he had a removable pickup for it. It just clipped on to the sound hole and plugged in like normal! Sounded fine, from what I remember. (My ex broke it out of anger many years ago...)

You haven't made that into an electric guitar. A real electric uses magnetic pickups. Piezo pickups work via vibration from the saddle and bridge. Magnectic pickups utilize magnetic field and string vibration. They both utilize vibration but from a different source. You get a distinctly different tone between them. A piezo still creates a tone similar to the natural tone if an acoustic guitar. FYI....there are magnetic pickups available for acoustic guitars. Personally, I think they sound horrible but they are available...
Input Jack ? Do you know how electronics actually work ? Thats an output jack. The signal is output from the guitar, the input jack is on the amplifier. 😆

Loosen strings. Put a capo in 1st fret and pull your bridge pins. That way the strings stay put. :-)
