This was the fight that made me switch to "easy" JUST so i dont have to deal with it anymore after getting hardstuck again after my 5th attempt.
@Quarlie except the game forces you to rely on baton pass, while simultaneously taking away the all out attack, which normally plays hand in hand with the baton pass. The game arbitrarily limits your options for this fight, for no apparent reason.
And the worst part to me is the big bang challenge move they do. It’s like having to climb a mountain and then some guy just kicks you straight back down. It’s literally designed to waste players’ time.
@Quarlie Just because it’s not particularly unlike the game to do this doesn’t make it not tedious and annoying for people that want to get out of the weakest arc in the story.
I was on quite the roll playing this game a ton and really getting into it until this boss fight. I tried and tried and tried, but I came to the conclusion that I'm simply not strong enough to beat it. I've never had this issue before, even the palace itself was totally within my grasp. But now I guess I have no choice but to go grind for a while.

Until this fight. I was about to throw my controller or break something I was so pissed. I don’t normally rage at a video game, but this is the exception. I just stopped playing the game because I would progress a little and then get wiped out by the new wave because I had no fucking idea how I supposed to kill them. I watch guides, and even made a damn Reddit post asking why the hell he was so difficult. Still can’t beat the damn thing.
@@blitzboy2934 I know right!! Every time that green ugly loser runs away at the very last second I lash out at myself. I also have no clue on why in God’s name did they made this thing difficult as hell? How do they expect you to beat 4 demon like enemies at once in just 2 turns????
@Quarlie I finally defeated all of them after dozens of attempts. And yes hitting them with Psychokinesis or Curse attacks one at a time for a 1 more helps for a powerful attack when baton passed twice. The issue was that I did not have any psy and curse attack bombs or items and therefore I could only rely on Joker and Noir since they were the only 2 capable for these attacks. So I instead switched to another save file which was saved few days before the boss fight in the game and luckily I had 3 psy skill cards and so I implemented them on the rest of the team. And that helped a lot and that was how I finally defeated them. I don’t mind it being hard. That’s fine. I just don’t think it’s right that you need to have a set of requirement items to defeat this boss. No other boss in the game has such a barrier except Okumura’s.
@RealQuarlie I know this is over a year old, but I have to say this. Madarame **encourages** you to have specific elements, but at the end of the day, it's still easy to take them out the normal way or just brute force the boss itself. Not only that, but the 4 auxiliary party members you have at that time are Yusuke, Ryuji, Ann, and Morgana. A.K.A. Ice, Electric, Fire, and Wind. The four elements of the fakes. Okumura, on the other hand, outright requires that you have specific elements in order to beat them fast enough, which the game never prepared you for. Not only that, but it requires you to down them all and deal enough damage to them within 2 turns while completely denying you your all out attack, which is a very important tool in trying to repeatedly down and kill enemies by not only nuking them, but also forcing them to get back up so you can down them again. Okumura only gives you 2-3 turns before they blow up on you, and if they do blow up on you, you now have to repeat that wave all over again from scratch. On top of all that, Okumura will buff one single robot with Rakukaja, which throws off your balance in its entirety because now one robot has higher defense than the others and will likely cause a wave reset. And again, the game not only did nothing to prepare you for this, but it also arbitrarily made the fight harder by denying your hold ups and your all out attacks. NEVER put this fight and the Madarame fight in the same sentence together.
I’m playing on merciless and I have been losing to this boos fight dozens on dozens of times this boss fight is nearly unbeatable they should give you an award for beating this boss fight

This boss fight is just pure bullshit. I personally believe boss fights shouldn’t force you to exploit a mechanic in order for you to actually beat them. That’s just stupid and not fun. Forcing players to beat enemies in two turns is literally just frustrating game design.
I guess having a psi, bless, garu, agi and curse persona is uncommon? Or idk having ann, haru or morgana on the team... The robots even tell you their weakness.

@@kawaiicookiuwu3322 you know, safe mode is the hardest mode against this boss and this sounds insane but the highest difficulty is the easiest since you get three times damage for moves that they are weak too

This fight is hard in a not fun way Unlike bosses like yaldabaoth and maruki they're hard but in a fun way However okumura is not fun at all and he's incredibly stressful and it's very hard not to see why this fight is so hated
What happens if you shock or maybe even freeze even one non-ED robot but fail to destroy the wave on turn 2? Do they recover immediately and flee anyway?
I can't beat the blue talk ones, and I have 5 days left till the deadline, any tips my guys are lvl 50 and imma bout to throw something Edit: changed mode to safe so I wouldn't loose my mind, used holy power. This is a tedious boss but it emphasized strategies over brute force... still pissed off
The most disappointing fight for a boss i ever dealt with, not that it's difficult but just plain dumb. He is garbage yet the game decided to make him use hordes and a time limit just to be annoying. I quit for tonight as i have work in a couple of hours, i was enjoying myself until now.lol
The fight is made to use whats learned through out the palace, you learn the weaknesses and use them, I might be the only person who kinda likes this fight
Well, bild was totally bad 1. No persona with Concentrate, no Seth with megidolian, no kaiwan with psy spells (it was in same palace) 2. No psy boost item for haru, dmg weak (selled in mall) 3. Fight on casual mode, ofc you will suffer, what do you expect? And those people cry about "bad" fight, this fight was BEST cuse tested how people prefer to play with their feet instead using alarm more and create some usefull personas. Could just take izanami if it was so hard.
True, but it's hard to tell what you'll need in advance. Imo the fight design sucked not because the fight idea was bad, but because it requires you to know what you'll be up against beforehand. If you don't have psi bombs for example, it can be hard to do enough dmg to kill, even if you are optimizing your turns in battle. Every other fight in the game except this one was easy imo
Yea this fight is easy. I don't understand the complaints. Maybe persona 5 was their first persona game or something. My first persona game was persona 4 (the original version not golden where difficulty went to being a joke) and every bosses there kicked my ass at least 20 times each.
in my opinion is one of the best bosses on all persona like top 5. the idea is cool and its fun cose its hard. have you played smt 4? the first boss is hard AF if you dont abuse hes weakness
This boss was absolutely horrible! I spent 4 hours trying to beat him. it was nearly impossible. I almost completely gave up on the game because of this shitty boss. It ruins this wonderful game, that's a shame.
It gets repetitive if your personas are too weak to kill the robots in 2 turns and you have to start over. I personally beat it by luck cause I used Mona's lucky punch to get a crit and baton pass
Yes, the reason why it’s hard is because if you don’t have enough money, items, very specific spells, the best baton and technical dmg. etc, this boss fight is near impossible. I had to perfectly select party members and map out before hand exactly what I would need to do for each turn of every phase. After that I was barely able to scrape by with good RNG and praying that he doesn’t give my allies hunger, which makes baton passing impossible.
lol do y'all speed running the game? At the time I fight this boss, it was hard at the beginning and I lost, then after I figured out the trick and immediately restart the battle, my second attempt is pretty easy
3:34 that’s a bad move on your part if you had Morgana on your party you could have used baton pass or just used it again 🤦 5:53 bro why didn’t you use mapisodyne you could of passed it to haru so that she could inflict more damage with mapiso 🤦
The problem is you guys are so used to having gimmicks thrown at you like the crown for kamashida for example... It's to the point where this "hard" boss fight is taking you so long because you're used to easy BS... This is why smt players and persona 1-4 players laugh at y'all 😂😂
I think I lost a bit of my soul due to this fight.

Had joker just doing debuffs and trading characters most of the round and had abilities to eliminate debuffs on my team.
Ngl I lost like 6 times
only?
I believe you I think I died more than that
This boss fight is just pure bullshit. I personally believe boss fights shouldn’t force you to exploit a mechanic in order for you to actually beat them. That’s just stupid and not fun. Forcing players to beat enemies in two turns is literally just frustrating game design.
I honestly really liked it, top 5, if you know what your doing its real fun at least for me.
What makes me sad is that there's no All out
Yup, that would've helped tremendously
I was mostly relying on the enemies' weaknesses. How did you get so many technical opportunities??
You can check out the persona wiki and check out how to get technical’s.
I guess having a psi, bless, garu, agi and curse persona is uncommon? Or idk having ann, haru or morgana on the team... The robots even tell you their weakness.
Little tip for him once you take out a full wave of robots it moves on to the next wave of different robots
So basically just don't let any flee
I lost this fight on S A F E mode
I beat it in the second try though, i got that legacy dlc (i didnt notice it in the store earlier and i felt stupid)
I raged so hard I dropped it on safe mode. I think I'm just gonna finish in safe mode. But I might go back cause I also forgot about the free dlcs. But so many hours lost.
Edit: I went back and beat it barely. It was insane lol.
@@kawaiicookiuwu3322 you know, safe mode is the hardest mode against this boss and this sounds insane but the highest difficulty is the easiest since you get three times damage for moves that they are weak too
@@amethystfox4213 you are totally right!!! with this suggestion i beat him
@@joshuadtm7 great to hear, I only wish if they could have fixed this broken mess of a boss fight
THIS FIGHT WASTED 3 HOURS OF MY LIFE YESTERDAY AND I HATE IT
Its easy but takes longer than expected
I’m glad you don’t mind it.
Why does this exist
He's even annoying in the vanilla version
i managed to beat him earlier.
My answer to this boss fight was to power level like a boss and then strong arm the boss into submission.
I hate this fight with every fiber of my being. It’s the only thing keeping me from replaying this otherwise amazing game, which is annoying because I missed out on quite a few things, missing entire character arcs and confidants.
This fight wasn’t too bad honestly but it was definitely annoying
This fight is hard in a not fun way
Unlike bosses like yaldabaoth and maruki they're hard but in a fun way
However okumura is not fun at all and he's incredibly stressful and it's very hard not to see why this fight is so hated
This fight really is annoying
This whole palace sucked
video title completely not natch with the content
this looks really hard
What happens if you shock or maybe even freeze even one non-ED robot but fail to destroy the wave on turn 2? Do they recover immediately and flee anyway?
I Lost so meny Times on this boss I fanilly beat him!
i dont have enough psio attacks to do it. idk what to do ive been stuck for hours
Try to lvl up in mementos until lvl 50 then go burst his fucking robots
this battle was absolute trash
First 3 Waves of Enemies! No Problem. But then it's just a stupid Mess! It ruins the Game
I can't beat the blue talk ones, and I have 5 days left till the deadline, any tips my guys are lvl 50 and imma bout to throw something
Edit: changed mode to safe so I wouldn't loose my mind, used holy power. This is a tedious boss but it emphasized strategies over brute force... still pissed off
The most disappointing fight for a boss i ever dealt with, not that it's difficult but just plain dumb. He is garbage yet the game decided to make him use hordes and a time limit just to be annoying. I work full time and want to play games to enjoy my time off, i like turning off my brain like what the hell.lol
Now here i am watching a video on how to whoop em. I quit for tonight as i have work in a couple of hours, i was enjoying myself until now.lol
This boss wasn’t hard for me, he was fucking annoying.
The fight is made to use whats learned through out the palace, you learn the weaknesses and use them, I might be the only person who kinda likes this fight
Liked the maze, hated the boss. How tf was I supposed to know I'd need psi bombs
Uhhhhhh I beat it first try it was really easy
This was on persona 5 royal they added a first phase that is way to hard
Yes, yes it is
This boss literally took me two minutes even on the harder difficulties
Worst boss fight ever
Well, bild was totally bad
1. No persona with Concentrate, no Seth with megidolian, no kaiwan with psy spells (it was in same palace)
2. No psy boost item for haru, dmg weak (selled in mall)
3. Fight on casual mode, ofc you will suffer, what do you expect?
And those people cry about "bad" fight, this fight was BEST cuse tested how people prefer to play with their feet instead using alarm more and create some usefull personas.
Could just take izanami if it was so hard.
Facts and logic right here
True, but it's hard to tell what you'll need in advance.
I hate this Boss!
in my opinion is one of the best bosses on all persona like top 5. the idea is cool and its fun cose its hard. have you played smt 4? the first boss is hard AF if you dont abuse hes weakness
Well the group did whant a challenge
This boss was absolutely horrible! I spent 4 hours trying to beat him. it was nearly impossible. I almost completely gave up on the game because of this shitty boss. It ruins this wonderful game, that's a shame.
Tbh i don’t know people say this fight was hard it’s really fun especially in royal
@@maChao97tachibana I wouldn't say I speed run I just did mementos and all fights on the palace by the end I was level 43
I’m glad that not everyone hated it.
How the hell y'all struggling with this game? Once you have Ryuji's instant kill difficulty is totally gone and that shit was 3 dungeons ago.
What about Kaneshero
At least kanshiro was fun to fight
3:34 that’s a bad move on your part if you had Morgana on your party you could have used baton pass or just used it again 🤦
5:53 bro why didn’t you use mapisodyne you could of passed it to haru so that she could inflict more damage with mapiso 🤦
Tfw you lose the boss not cause it's difficult but cause you're dumb. (I'm talking about me btw just to make this clear lmao)
So who else got made into a big bang burger?
The problem is you guys are so used to having gimmicks thrown at you like the crown for kamashida for example... It's to the point where this "hard" boss fight is taking you so long because you're used to easy BS... This is why smt players and persona 1-4 players laugh at y'all 😂😂
This fight was easy. How are people struggling with such easy boss
