    Slow heating from your iron means it needs to be cleaned and re tinned. A good clean tinned tip on the solder iron is needed to transfer the heat to the work.

    I hate when I forget to put the wrap on the wire before I make the connection. Great video. Great job on the wiring

    Having a little solder on the tip will help transfer the heat faster into the wire.

    Another trick I use on wiring is coat in with hot glue, it lasts a lot longer.

    My Dad use to work on 2 way radios and if he couldn't get the solder into where he was soldering he would put some on the tip of the gun.

    I have had issues with field rats and squirrels eating the wiring. My brother-in-law had dogs trying to get to a rat pull most of a wiring harness out of a trailer. So it happens.
    Good looking finished product, expected nothing less from you.

    Do like all the Milwaukee tools. With all the idiots on the road, you can't have enough tailights. Looks good.

    The wiring's jacket is made from a vegetable base oil, could have been mice/rats. They love those wires.

    The best clear coat that you can get is the "OH MY" 2k clear from BuyCustomPaint.com. A HS clear that's really easy to spray with a high gloss, and doesnt require cutting or buffing and the small kits start at $30..... Definitely worth checking out...good video

    What did you use for paint? Going to paint my trailer and just wondering what you used in our GA sunshine.

    • @cotontop3
      @cotontop3  5 лет назад

      I used the rustoleum black and thinned it some so it would spray out of the gun.
