There was some fear awhile back that this iconic 3T22 was getting replaced so I figured I’d stop by. My heart skipped a beat when I drove up because I couldn’t see it from the road. But after walking around, I could once again catch a glimpse from the southeast corner. I was just at the wrong spot. At a little past noon, this thing roared to life. The slow wind up, 10/12 port harmony, and the local acoustics made for another epic recording. Imagine if this ran attack!
Sirens in Perry County are tested along with the pager system every Saturday at Noon Central time. Sirens are programmed to sound predetermined lengths during the weekly test. Some sirens do a quick blast, while others do a minute. During a severe thunderstorm or tornado, the system will sound a full cycle.
Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!

I remember this siren. It used to have a stuck top damper. The guy from the video I first saw said while recording another siren in that county, he heard a mysterious 10 port siren off in the distance. Which turned out to be this bad boi! Glad it's still in use!
This thing is specially nostalgic to me. I remember watching your video of it from a while ago, ended up being one of the earliest siren videos I've ever seen.
It's really cool to see a new amazing video of this thing! Love that drone work aswell!
Thanks!! It's crazy how fast time flies. I did record it back in 2018, but it sucked so I never posted it LOL. But even then, that was six years back. So much has changed.
The video of the 3T22 in Bicknell, IN, was the first thing that got me into sirens
@@therailcat9790 I definitely need to redo that one. I know the EMA there, so maybe we can get an attack test of it someday. Luckily that one isn't going anywhere soon, so there's time.
the nostalgia...
glad this thing still runs!
Came back to your channel after a bit to see you outdo yourself again! Love your videos every time man!
Beautiful footage and sound indeed!
i love how its just chilling on top of what looks like a church
It's their city hall. I think it was a courthouse at one point.
@@DSRX100 interesting.. it looks a lot like the on N Santa Fe Ave & NW 10th St in Moore, probably because they are similar in appearance.
So happy to see this get re-recorded. You've convinced me I need to get some better lenses.
You know I was hoping one day you uploaded a video of this 3T22 again and it still sounds great as expected. Very cool!
So happy to see this one's still running strong! Been a while since I've seen it recorded
Really glad you went back for this one! Awesome recording!
Been a real while since this one, still sounds as amazing as ever!
been a while since we've seen tell city! awesome video dude!
Damn that echo is awesome! Amazing shots too with the drone!
Good stuff!
Yeah I know like the FS 3T22A is the best part that I like when it Makes a bit of Echo and it Winded up ❤❤😊
Man that wind-down!!! Bearings like butter!
The 3T22 upper siren rotor air intake is missing
I should apply for a record for how fast I clicked the video when I saw it LOL.
Great to see classic locations on the channel getting filmed again.
Thank you! I'm hoping to rerecord some of the classic sirens around here. I'm aiming for the Cannelton 3t22 in the fall. The background foliage will look super nice if I time it right.

Nice!
Are all old sirens activated with two-tone activation?
Not necessarily. There are systems out there with legacy sirens that can activate via FSK or DTMF. It’s case by case.
