I took the test on December 19. I was pretty confident in math, but when I took the test all the questions I was confused on were either 7th or algebra math. I’m currently taking geometry, so I haven’t been able to brush up on algebra. As a result, my percentile in math was a 90th. Pretty bummed but I was super happy with my verbal score! When I first took verbal practice test, I was in the 5th percentile. But then, after lots of self studying I managed to bring it up to the 98th percentile in verbal!! I’m really happy about that. For reading I was placed in 90th percentile. My overall score was 2260/2400 and my percentile was 94-96 percentile. Pretty happy about that since I was expecting to be below 70th percentile. But I’m also bummed because I didn’t get to do well in the math portion of test. Good luck to all that will take the test!

@@chickpea8131 I actually went to Deerfield! I'm not sure if I could give you a proper answer because I am not an admissions counselor, but the SSAT doesn't define you. I'm finishing up 7th grade and I'm planning on applying for boarding school next year. Do I have enough time to practice? If so, what's a good website to take the practice tests?
You have plenty of time to start practicing. This is a weird time, but I would say start registering for you ssat now, because applications are due in January I believe, but that is subject to change. Varsity tutors, prepscholar, and ssatprep all have good practice tests. Hope that helps!
i don’t know about the ssat specifically but at the school i’m applying to they look mostly at grades at school and participation at your school, the ssat isn’t a HUGE deal
from what i know, the school im applying to focuses on the percentile for each section, the overall doesn't play a huge part. also yeah the ssat isn't a big part of ur application, ideally your percentile should be floating around the 80th percentile, and the school I'm applying to has an average of around the 85th percentiles so this is just purely knowledge from the school I'm trying to go to but I believe it should be around almost the same . go for 85th percentile or more if you want to!
My parents are thinking of putting me in boarding but if you don’t mind I have some questions is this for 7th?and how do you get a scholarship or how much is too much to get financial aid?(sorry if I asked to much :(
No worries. Your parents have to send the school their financial information and then they determine if you qualify for a scholarship. I'm not sure the threshold to not qualify for aid because it depends on school. I hope that helps!
I can't answer that question because there are many factors that go into your application. I didn't have the highest scores, but my grades were high and I had a lot of school activities
