So the girl I was dating (and loved ardently) and I, loved masaan and this song was our song, we always talked about how one day we'll go to banaras and sit on ghats of manikarnika, we broke up eventually but we stayed as friends occasionally talking once in a couple of months.
When i finally went to banaras (not with her) i video called her to show the manikarnika ghat and she couldn't care less, she asked me to not call that day.. That made me really sad..
Moral of the story, people grow up, they change so you should learn to accept these changes.

I've been bingeing Bollywood gems all evening today. Being a listener of western music much of the time, it is really pleasing to break away and listen to such soulful poetry sometimes. Nothing beats the expression of love as is done in the languages from where you belong. "Tu kisi rail si guzarti hai, mai kisi pul sa thartharata hoon" - oh my god. Or when Rafi sang "Abhi na jao chhod kar, ke dil abhi bhara nahi", or "lag ja gale ke phir yeh haseen raat ho na ho" that leaves me teary eyed every single time. It's just so beautiful. So beautiful.
