i have weird problem where all my lights work, but the driver side parking lights work for like half a minute and then turn off, i can turn them on again by switching to DRL's but when i switch back to the parking lights the drivers side one turns off after 20-30 seconds, very weird
No not all golfs, all golfs have rear fog light as its a legal requirement, but front fogs arent legally required so only some higher spec models have it, and best headlights i could recommend is LED bulbs, they so bright but dont blind anyone haha so thats good, go on youtube search led fan vs fanless mrwaheedulhaque get the fan one the link is in the description of that one made specifically for the golf mk6
Wow I never knew what that rolldown switch was for!!!! I have a 07 passat and I have been blinding people for a long time. I was getting frustrated and thought I had to take it to the dealership
Hey, thank you for the vid. So in auto setting, ideally in proper sunlight, it should be only parking lights or DTRL is it? I’m having my low beams on on good sunny day in auto mode. Not sure what’s the issue or whether there’s an issue at all . Cheers
@@trackNtraction should have day time running light on, if low beam is on then maybe sensor is blocked by something give it a clean, not big issue anyways
Hi pal. So if i want my fogs to come on as drls, can i do the part where you pull the switch out. Or is that just to have them on when you need them+they wont be on all time?
@@MrWaheedulHaque right yea. I know you can buy the fog light assembly's that you wire to fuse/glove box, but wasnt aware of the coding solution also 🤔 Reckon it can be easy done?
As i upgraded my lights to more powerful LED's i have it set to number 3 to not dazzle anyone, 3 is the lowest, i used to use option 1 when i was using halogen as they werent very bright and i could barely see the road with them, it all depends on how bright your lights are and if they need alligning, i got a video on alligning if u need it its in my car playlist, go up to a wall set it to 1 first if it too high then set to 2, if still too high set to 3
Again you would need to find a straight wall park in front of it leave a bit of a gap so you can see light beam pattern, set to 1 then if it looks too high then try number 2, if it still too high set to number 3
You think? The car is doing my head in lol! It’s also got 2 more annoyances. The speedo and rev needles don’t light up (can’t see my speed at night) but every other needle does? And seatbelt light stays illuminated even when bleed plugged in. Any ideas? Any experience with this
Try do a soft reset, beware though you will have to set the time and stuff on your car again, so soft reset is basically just unplugging car battery for 15 mins and then putting it back on
Yes boss worth a try sometimes fixes dodgy faults, if not i think maybe will have to replace cluster, or if you find a good auto electrican he might just be able to repair it and change the LED's on the boafd
by law after a certain car year the cars have to have daytime running light on at minimum, this is a EU law we followed but we not in EU anymore because of Brexit so I have no idea if it still applies. The only way to have no lights on is to program the daytime running lights to be off through obdeleven or vcds and then when u put the switch in day time running lights position no lights will show, again i don't know if its legal in the UK to do this so i wouldn't advise to do it, again its your choice haha
3 years has been a while but you turn it off in the settings -> lights & vision -> daylight driving light light, then turn off the function there, hope this either helps yourself or others had my gti for half a year and still learning new things😂 (couldn’t figure out the fog lights till literally yesterday)

you have to get it coded in pal,or you can leave it on drl setting and pull out the fog light thing once it will light up front fogs

Yes 0 means off so all lights off so backlight should be off too so its normal dont worry
