    Hello Elli,
    a very nice video! All is so well organized, really amazing!
    Give your little black companion his own story. The hike from Otto's perspective, in dialogue with him and with him as the narrator off-screen. Would that be an idea? In any case, keep it up!

    • @ellihikes
      @ellihikes  4 месяца назад

      That would be a great idea and definitely would want to do that as soon as I have bit more time :)

    What a splendid conversion to your car - I love it, well done! Bit puzzled why you're in Glencoe if you are starting the WHW at Milngavie but I expect all will be revealed...
    It looks as if Otto is really enjoying travelling by car. Probably thinking: "this is much better than walking like we did last time." At least walking will keep him warm.
    Good to see your photo in the latest TGO!

      Thank you so much, Nick!! I'm quite happy how it turned out and so far, it's been very useful to have :) I initially wanted to end the video before we started the WHW, but then again, the footage I got after the WHW when we stayed in Glencoe was just so cool that I wanted to include it 😊😉 thank you for following along :)

    I use a stove like the one you have, it sits low to the ground. 👍

      It does, but there are things to fold out which makes it a bit higher. Didn't realise it in the video when I first used it 😅🫣

    You did such a great job on the car, it looks so comfy! You are living my dream life right now. I also backpack with one of my 3 dogs as much as possible, but can only do shorter trips because I have over 20 other pets at home that need taken care of. So I'll be living through you and Otto for now. Thank you! 😊

    Good morning Ms Elli & Otto 😃
    Really cool idea and set up with your mini home away from home on wheels👍🏻
    You was quite the construction worker on the build too😃
    Love your get it done attitude💪🏻
    Looks really comfortable and you have everything you both need handily😃
    Hoping the rains will not be bad in the early going and I’m looking so much to following along on this journey as well, you always make me smile to see your happiness and Otto’s go go go on your hikes, along with educating those of us who aren’t familiar with where your traveling thru❤️
    As always, take care, keep safe, give Otto a scratch and we will see you on your next video👍🏻🙏🏻😃☺️

    As expected Elli, fun video, well made and an interesting start of another Scottish adventure for you and Otto.
    Impressive and sensible car ‘conversion’ and a very different trip from your last ones.
    I know you’ll be well on the Trail, so looking forward to the next update. Take care and try and keep dry. The weather all over the UK has been dismal recently 🌧️ ☂️ 🥾 💦

    That place is so beautiful! I remember walking along that road when we walked the West Highland Way. There were a couple of people camping in vans along there. We passed a van with a little cat sunning itself in the front window! Glen Coe is one of my favorite places. Happy travels!

    Hello Elli and Otto.
    Well last time you were over hear you were hiking and camping But this time your Glamping Hehe.
    You did a great job with your car Elli, I must say you impressed me. Managing to take the seats out by yourself was very impressive, and it looks great.
    Looking forward to watching your adventure.
    Just remember we drive on the left Hehe 😋✌

    Oh my goodness, I love the car conversion! So on my bucket list. May be a future add on, would be a car tent at the back. Otto’s face when you were talking to the camera in the cabin…”Who is she talking to?” 😂 The room looked really good on board and I’d be happy with that, and you scored a window! I have not scored one of those from Plymouth to Santander. Have fun trekking. x

      Thank you so so much Rique :) true, a tent would be awesome to add! It's really nice to have the car as some sort of 'base' and so far it worked out perfectly :)

    Nice video Ellie, a basic conversion but all you need. I do hope you drove up the A68 from Newcastle rather than the horrible A1 coastal route. It’s only slightly longer but so much more enjoyable! Looking forward to your upcoming videos.

    Did you make the bed yourself Ellie? Currently doing my Berlingo up. Got lights in and all 13 windows have blinds now. Putting a bit of 4 way carpet on some of the panels to make it cosier. Not sure on the bed yet

    • @ellihikes
      @ellihikes  4 месяца назад

      No, I luckily found the box/bed structure second hand and only had to adjust the height etc. Your project sounds so cool, it's great to have that option to travel around and have a place to sleep too :)
