      ​​@@babapambazuka2845well as a primary school trumpet player whose school won high school eistedfords we loved this. Was a crowd fave at the Royal Easter show..having said this i can see how it would irk some due to the constant flow change, but as a 10 yo we all loved the grunt a third through😂

    Finally i found it....we played this in the school marching band looong time ago(not in a Concert,just to have something to play at practise.)....i have had this in my head but forgot the name of it but remember it was maaany parts of songs mixed in one Music piece....some i remembered and others not....Great to hear it again...thanks for posting...Brings back memories....i miss the time i had in the marching band,....those were the Days,.....

    I played this in my high school Marching Band. This is fascinating how the video is showing the conductor's score and turns the pages as the song plays. It's also cool to hear it with a professional-sounding band. I would compare my high school Marching Band to the internet meme known as "shittyfluting."

    We played this often back in 1974 at Daceyville Military Band. It was a huge hit at fetes and Royal Easter shows. We all loved the grunt we did a third through the piece.

    This was on our summer bandstand programme this year - always a big hit with the audience. The band have difficulty keeping a straight face after the ‘grunt’, though 🤣

    I'm playing this for my concert. I love this song, Idk why but I just love Harold's works. I know this is a medley but man I love this.

      It stinks. Band directors only do it every year because it’s easy and they are lazy and don’t want to work on anything difficult. Usually fat old music teachers

      I rather enjoy my directors, both from Middleschool and Highschool. But I do agree, especially with Jazz; Harder pieces that prove to be a challenge are more fun to play. The reason why Directors don't usually choose harder pieces are due to the fact that newer people would have trouble with it at performances, if not the band as a whole.
