Man Angra Mainyu is seen as the true villain of the franchise but in actuality he was just the most pissed on person in the world with his crime being absolutely nothing. Kinda makes it pleasant he did something good in the end.

Only kind of. The Holy Grail is corrupted because Avenger/Angra Manyu held the wish of the masses for an absolute source of all evil. It's not even Avenger's wish,it is the wish forced on him by humanity. The Holy Grail accepts this wish and thus becomes corrupted as it works to become "All the World's Evil". I believe Avenger,in his recollections in Ataraxia, recalls that he never personally wished on the Grail. The Grail just accepted the wish that gave birth to his Anti-hero self. Just as a FYI this all happened because the EInzbern family decided it was a good idea to summon the literal representation of Sin as their Heroic Spirit. Even though characters like Zouken and Kirei are more directly villanous, in the end all the crap that happens in Fate/Zero's ending and through most of Stay Night, is the fault of the Einzbern family.
With him I guess almost all villains in Fate are tragic and sympathetic..... maybe except Gilles de Rais. Losing Joan, might have been traumatic but killing hundreads of innocent for that is going way too far to still feel sympathetic... I never blamed Medea, or Medusa for their actions though. Their lives were so tragic that their actions should be justified

It's not like Avenger was "trying" to be altruistic. He was forced on a shrine after being tortured and maimed, then kept alive for the rest of his mortal life as people cursed at him and cleaned their sins by further maiming him in a yearly ritual. BTW, this kind of rituals do exist in historical documents of many old religions, and there are more "enlightened" rituals where people enshrine themselves in an attempt to leave behind their sins and attain the divine heights of enlightnment (like the Living Budha mummies).

Think of Chapter Black of YuYu Hakusho, but now amplify it into not only seeing all human atrocities, but EXPERIENCING them in your very soul. Then run it on a loop. And keep running it for eternity. Every waking hour of his existence, Angra Mainyu is being butchered by barbarians, burned at the stake like a witch, raped endlessly, thrown into extermination camps and starved to death... He is experiencing EVERYTHING on his soul. And he's doomed to feel that FOREVER. In spite of all that... He still regained his humanity and could wish for something better... I sincerely hope he's happier after Hollow Ataraxia.

One correction.The Grail didnt grant Kirei's wish.All that happened is that the result of the grail's contents falling the city matches Kirei's wish. Yes, Gil siad that this is what the garil did for Kirei but that is just him pushing Kirei's button.
Actually angra accepted the wish of kirei to destroy whole world but lesser grail is destroyed by kiritsugu and saber because of this, it can't able to destroy whole world.

He is so assured of his royalty & is aware of the evil nature of humans that Angra *couldn't* taint Gilgamesh, because he already knew what evils there were, & that they're his responsibility as King of all things.
Not really… In the Fate Stay Night visual novel Saber speculates that Gilgamesh had gone insane after being consumed in the black mud. He may have been a bit of a sadist in Fate Zero but the black mud amplified his sadism. It didn’t drive him mad like Heracles or turn him into a dark inversion of himself like Saber Alter. All it did was amplify his already bad qualities.

It's not impossible to summon a god. Under the usual Holy Grail War ruleset, high level divine spirits can't appear. But under the original ruleset, classes like Avenger or Ruler can't appear either. Nasu likes using the 'exception that proves the rule' idea. That's why we see divine spirits summoned all over the place in Grand Order. Personally... I wanna see more SAVER classes, not just Buddha.

The question why the holy grail was corrupted, I thought that the grail was pure( I wached deen stay night and UBW) and what really confuses me why was the grail corrupted. Thanks a lot. Lowkey his story reminds me of "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas" I haven't read it entirely lol so i can't say if my description of it is accurate but in that story the happiness and prosperity of the town depends on the suffering of a single child Angra Mainyu is similar to that child, the town pushes all of their evil onto him to ensure they can see themselves as good people. I don't blame him for being so pissed off at his own fate, I love fate's lore so much, it's always do interesting to learn more about the characters/story

He, the destructive thought, is the adversary of Spenta Mainyu (the holy thought), who was created by Ahura Mazda. Over time Spenta Mainyu got fused with Ahura Mazda in many places, because Ahura Mazda already represented benevolence. Ahriman exists because human were gifted with freedom of choice, human are special because they can wish for the good, while allowing the bad.

From knowing his tale you can tell how evil we humans can be either intentionally or unintentionally, but compared to what we use to be we are a lot better than we use to be. This is part of the reason why in our day of age we are in are most peaceful times. Yes we are in times where we know war and disgusting crimes are happening but to what we see and know now it does not compare to what it was like in the past. After all we do have better surveillance systems compared to what we did back in the past as now it’s a lot easier to find people who are committing those acts. We also got a lot more dangerous weapons and most people don’t want to get in front of those. The only reason why we still have theses things going on still (but on a lower scale) is because we still have people who are either very (sorry for my language for anyone who does not like theses words) fucked up (either mentally by conditions or are naturally bad) and people who are to concerned in their religion to point that they will start wars over it (just to mention that I don’t think religion is wrong it’s just that there are people out there who use it to force people to believe on what they believe in).

Possibly no since you can't summon two servants at once (though the Edelfelts did that in the 3rd War, but that's thanks to their Magecraft I think) and Angra is the grail so technically he's already summoned. Though if you somehow purified the Grail's contents, then yes, in a holy grail war after the 5th (in a past one, it wouldn't work unless Angra took a piece of the lesser grail with him back to the Throne of Heroes for some reason)
Night Shrine Well without corruption the grail is just a huge gathering of mana so I don't know the true limits of its power but I think it's true that it can only accomplish things that the winner can imagine a method of achieving. I doubt Kiritsugu could have ever used the grail to eliminate evil and still retain free will.
The only thing the corruption did to the grail was reduce the options to one, Destruction. Now the True Grail [the one touched by the blood of Christ] is fine, either because it never existed, amd/or will never be important to the plot of the Nasuverse.
Now the "Real Grail" is where things get good, it's an imitation of the Holy Grail brought forth by a Saint I can't remember the name of, but it actually grants the user's wish. I like to call it "The Devil's Chalice" as a nickname.

Sansker Earlier civilizations often used wild religious beliefs to protect them from the fear of not understanding the world around them. Mayans apparently conducted ritual sacrifices for instance. People delude themselves and gain peace of mind from some crazy stuff.
I was just making fun of it. It happens to me with a lot of Fate material, I feel is trying to be epic and yet it makes me laugh, and is all down hill from there. You have a great chanel on that regard, to condense and explain it. And yes, many ancient civilizations did such things... andit wasn't less stupid when the Mayans, Romans or anyone else did it. I admit, on retrospective I do like it (Shirou and Saber is my favorite pairing, the one I feel works the best) but I just kept thinking how could it be if instead of Saber it had been Archer, and then I started laughing so hard... But yes, to each their own. I overall find Fate, and I do not mean this as an insult, rather mediocre at times. It is fill with rich characters, stories and concepts. But its overall presentation comes across as rather convoluted and trying to sound like an Epic Greek Poem or Shakespeare works, but I don't feel is all out there. Is why I laugh at it, and yet I can't stop watching because there is something always of value I can take. Be it with Angra Maiyu or others

One correction.The Grail didnt grant Kirei's wish.All that happened is that the result of the grail's contents falling the city matches Kirei's wish. Yes, Gil siad that this is what the garil did for Kirei but that is just him pushing Kirei's button.
Actually angra accepted the wish of kirei to destroy whole world but lesser grail is destroyed by kiritsugu and saber because of this, it can't able to destroy whole world.

He may have been a bit of a sadist in Fate Zero but the black mud amplified his sadism. It didn’t drive him mad like Heracles or turn him into a dark inversion of himself like Saber Alter. All it did was amplify his already bad qualities.

It's not impossible to summon a god. Under the usual Holy Grail War ruleset, high level divine spirits can't appear. But under the original ruleset, classes like Avenger or Ruler can't appear either. Nasu likes using the 'exception that proves the rule' idea. That's why we see divine spirits summoned all over the place in Grand Order.
Personally... I wanna see more SAVER classes, not just Buddha.

Actually, Angra Mainyu isn't a god, per se. As Zoroastrianism is the oldest monotheistic religion in the world, AM is more like the equivalent of Satan in the Abrahamic faiths.
No, Angra mainyu is neither a fallen servant nor a demon, he is the evil counterpart and in some versions the twin of Ahura mazda, the God of Zoroastrianism.

Angra Mainyu is similar to that child, the town pushes all of their evil onto him to ensure they can see themselves as good people. I don't blame him for being so pissed off at his own fate, I love fate's lore so much, it's always do interesting to learn more about the characters/story

Ahriman is not a deity like the description says. He is almost always believed to exist below Ahura Mazda. He, the destructive thought, is the adversary of Spenta Mainyu (the holy thought), who was created by Ahura Mazda.
Over time Spenta Mainyu got fused with Ahura Mazda in many places, because Ahura Mazda already represented benevolence. Ahriman exists because human were gifted with freedom of choice, human are special because they can wish for the good, while allowing the bad.

It’s incredibly fucked, but who was going to judge that villager? Not the other villagers surely? It’s a very excellent look into how we think and excuse everyone around us to allow evil. Eye for an eye leaves everyone blind, but what does it matter if you can see when everything is ugly? I don’t know just some musings.
From knowing his tale you can tell how evil we humans can be either intentionally or unintentionally, but compared to what we use to be we are a lot better than we use to be. This is part of the reason why in our day of age we are in are most peaceful times. Yes we are in times where we know war and disgusting crimes are happening but to what we see and know now it does not compare to what it was like in the past. After all we do have better surveillance systems compared to what we did back in the past as now it’s a lot easier to find people who are committing those acts. We also got a lot more dangerous weapons and most people don’t want to get in front of those. The only reason why we still have theses things going on still (but on a lower scale) is because we still have people who are either very (sorry for my language for anyone who does not like theses words) fucked up (either mentally by conditions or are naturally bad) and people who are to concerned in their religion to point that they will start wars over it (just to mention that I don’t think religion is wrong it’s just that there are people out there who use it to force people to believe on what they believe in).

If you were to use a piece of the Grail to summon your servant wouldn't you be able to summon Angra mainyu
Possibly no since you can't summon two servants at once (though the Edelfelts did that in the 3rd War, but that's thanks to their Magecraft I think) and Angra is the grail so technically he's already summoned. Though if you somehow purified the Grail's contents, then yes, in a holy grail war after the 5th (in a past one, it wouldn't work unless Angra took a piece of the lesser grail with him back to the Throne of Heroes for some reason)

Night Shrine Well without corruption the grail is just a huge gathering of mana so I don't know the true limits of its power but I think it's true that it can only accomplish things that the winner can imagine a method of achieving. I doubt Kiritsugu could have ever used the grail to eliminate evil and still retain free will.
The only thing the corruption did to the grail was reduce the options to one, Destruction.
Now the True Grail [the one touched by the blood of Christ] is fine, either because it never existed, amd/or will never be important to the plot of the Nasuverse.
Now the "Real Grail" is where things get good, it's an imitation of the Holy Grail brought forth by a Saint I can't remember the name of, but it actually grants the user's wish.
I like to call it "The Devil's Chalice" as a nickname.
His Noble Phatasm :absorb all the damages cause on him and release them back *a little bit* stronger but he may die in the process.

I was just making fun of it. It happens to me with a lot of Fate material, I feel is trying to be epic and yet it makes me laugh, and is all down hill from there. You have a great chanel on that regard, to condense and explain it. And yes, many ancient civilizations did such things... andit wasn't less stupid when the Mayans, Romans or anyone else did it. I admit, on retrospective I do like it (Shirou and Saber is my favorite pairing, the one I feel works the best) but I just kept thinking how could it be if instead of Saber it had been Archer, and then I started laughing so hard... But yes, to each their own. I overall find Fate, and I do not mean this as an insult, rather mediocre at times. It is fill with rich characters, stories and concepts. But its overall presentation comes across as rather convoluted and trying to sound like an Epic Greek Poem or Shakespeare works, but I don't feel is all out there. Is why I laugh at it, and yet I can't stop watching because there is something always of value I can take. Be it with Angra Maiyu or others
