How to Make Fairy Wings (updated)

Hey guys, so one of my first videos on my channel was my wings tutorial, however it wasn't very well done due to the lack of equipment I had and also not really knowing how to make a video....
So over the past week I remade the video
I hope you like it!
Equipment you'll need
Thick wire
Bias binding tape 12mm or bigger
Your fairy wing fabric - best to choose a type of stretch fabric (but you can use others)
pins
needle and thread
Hot glue (optional)
For the harness (large wings)
Worbla or hard foam
hot glue
felt
elastic straps
and or velcro

I Like your Alternative with sewing the fabric to the wire/ Tape :) because the hot Glue varienty is so messy and IT can goes Very fast wrong :) thanks for the Tutorial :)

When you put them in the back of your bra, how do you keep them from falling to the side?

I'm making Bloom Enchantix wings and I'm having a bit of trouble. I have no idea how I'm going to make the thicker outline the wings have.

I think a lot of people used Foam for the thicker Enchantix outline :) maybe you could use two layers of foam and sandwich the sheer fabric or material in the middle. Hope that helps!

How thick is your wire?

Between 9 and 12 gauge I hear is best, I think the smaller the number the thicker the wire

Could you cut small holes in the back of your shirt and wear the harness that way? I’m making wings for Bloom but I would like a little more assurance that they aren’t going to fall off at a con if I’m bumped into. Which often happens. Lol

If it's her first season wings, i would consider stitching it to the back of your cosplay? its pretty small and light :) I'm gonna be doing a video soon specifically on the harness part.
