Yep you're right , its higth tech style gui and features makes people forget about its sound !! Aslo people forget tha Fabfilter first plugins included this synth (V1) , so it's not a jump in the unknown for them !!
Exact , i remember not being that impressed with the previous version , but indeed this one invite for fun and sounds exellent ... and it really have its own sound ...!
That's the way to go !! Have fun with it !! I found the V2 presets not only great (more analoguish classic) , but a great staring point at low cpu .... be sure to still use those if V3 presets cpu hit is heavy in certain cases .....
You re welcome , not scheduled at all , was chilling on a forum , saw the release l tried it , 5 minute later decided to record the first contact !! I always like to do so to not be biased ...to really show how somebody that never used really feels .... Thks for watching !
Exact , in fact after 3 dayz with it , i ve found that not using the high quality thing makes it even smoother in some cases ...be sure to try v2 presets , some old school style analog gem in , simple sometime but great to layer in produtcions. Thks for watchin!
Like i said in my video conclusion , price for existing FF owners are great !! For new comers not so ...they should be a little more agressive ... Congrats ... solid plugin there , should i say like the rest of their plugins ....
They don t try to be serum , hive or pigments and i think that s why it works and it s so unique ... it def has a sound .... but we never know ... i would love fm on it because i feel all is present to be superb in thatcase ... be sure to try hive from uhe if you re into wavetable , a beast and a beauty ...
@@ZozillaThaGreat yeah i know they don’t try to be. But realistically FM is the king of synthesis right now, there are so much more possibilities of sound and I believe the future resides in looking forward to discover new ways to make sound. They did a good adding the modulation section and is great, but subtractive synthesis is just too limited imo

But in fact even a simple regular synth can lead to some superb territories so the option post sound generation are big from FX to modulation via third party tools .... this is what i did at the end of the video , once you have a quality sound generated , sound manipulation can lead super far in creativity , goal is to maintain quality in the process ....

A question of taste , i personnaly like it , but you re right if somebody not into fabfilter style , he gotta deal with the style on the whole product line ... I do think they shoudl allow themselve more lattitude on certain occasions . Thks for watching and share your finding if ya try it ;)

It’s easy and intuitive enough To allow for sound design to become part of the production process. Twin 3 is arguably a candidate for the best subtractive synth to use in the heat of a production. It’s probably not going to limit you with a lack of modulation options, but neither will it overwhelm you with a huge and complex mod matrix, when you’re trying to set up something simple. It doesn’t stick to the limited feature set of the classic famous synths, as many plugins in this category do, but it does have the durability to sound good with minimal effort. Modulating modulators, components have their own presets, each osc has its own dedicated filter. It’s basically a Pro-Q3 inside of a subtractive synth. The XLFO can allow for controlled FM synthesis, step sequencing, sample and hold, and effects. 64 voices! Scala file import, Per Oscillator Polyphony, so much more. XLFO could easily be its own plug-in

I think this plugins is fully underrated. The sound is stunning. Super "real", and warm.. as an analog synth. Thank you for the deep dive!

Fabfilter made a gem with this one. The updated GUI is awesome, but the updated SOUND is WAY more "3D" and vibey.

I bought Twin 2 just a few weeks ago.... and they upgraded me for free!
Not Surprised , FF are serious , solid and always take care of their existing costumers !!
