Very cool! In the production book of Hamilton, they mentioned that the concept for the costume and hair was that they’d have period-accurate costumes from the neck down, but current styling from the neck up, for everyone except for King George. Such a great concept!

Rene isn’t the ‘perfect role model’ for Angelica, don’t get me wrong Rene is an amazing actor, but the character Angelica hasn’t a ‘one way’ acting. Every artist acts the character different, but not just only one person is doing it perfectly, everyone is! The actors who isn’t in the version on Disney+ are getting a lot of unnecessary hate and criticism. Again I know you don’t mean anything bad❤️

(I am by no means hating on Lin, he’s brilliant, but definitely has weaker vocals then the other Hamiltons I’ve heard). And wow, Emmy is incredible! Those vocals! I love her rendition and Renee’s in equal measures, because they are both awesome portrayals of Angelica (one of my favourite characters).

@@leticiadiassis6407 well, his voice is not like the WORST, some of his performances are really good, especially the latest ones, and he knows what he can and what he can't, so when he's playing Usnavi or Hamilton, he has to rap a lot and his singing parts are not too hard for him, so he can make them quite good. As for the demos, I think it's okay that they don't sound really good, after all, he was never supposed to sing them. I wouldn't argue that his vocal abilities are not very high, but he's definitely not the worst singer!
I'm hard of hearing (hearing loss at high frequencies / pitches) and have auditory processing disorder. I can best describe APD with an audio mixing analogy. When mixing a song, you work with the vocals and the instruments separately, and then both of those are further broken down into subcategories (for example, vocals can include lead vocals and background vocals). My brain tends to mix all the separate sounds in one block of sound. So I technically "hear" it, but my brain doesn't interpret it the way a fully hearing person's does. I can tell the difference between good audio and bad audio, but not good audio and great audio. So I can't hear whatever is lacking in Lin Manuel-Miranda's vocals. I do notice the passion and uniqueness in his voice, though. I like this singer too. It sounds more like a trained musical performer voice to me, like what I hear from Broadway singers. I couldn't tell you what about his vocals or technique is better than Lin's, though. Except that maybe he uses more vibrato? Maybe he projects more, articulates more clearly?
i teared up. what i felt in this angelica is more anger than pain -- she hated her decisions, appalled even. her ending was not even acceptance, it was wanting shit to just be over. maybe im projecting cause id act like that if my sister marries my first love, but damn i love this performance.

I saw her live back in 2017 after winning first row tickets for only $20 from a lottery. The entire show was absolutely phenomenal in person. At the end of the show I was looking up at her on stage when all of the cast was holding hands and bowing to the audience and she looked at me and gave me a wink. I almost crapped my pants.

So talented, the vocals 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I'm not a huge fan of how she's acting this out however, a bit too emotive and almost happy for my taste - although I see what she's going for, Angelica's forced happiness for her sister, and in a way it's perfect. I just prefer a bit more toned down Angelica, but it's my taste. Emmy is objectively amazing anyway!
Oh man, this gave me the same feeling I got when I first listened to this song way back in 2015. It's easy to forget how good this show is with how hyped it's been for so long and becoming desensitised to the soundtrack version but this really is so incredible, she really owns it
I LOVE HER! When I saw Hamilton I saw it in L.A and I saw Emmy live and she was insane!!! I LOVED IT! I saw the show back in the summer of 2017! It was the best day of my Life at that time! It was my quinceañeras(15) gift! I was obsessed with Hamilton since 2015 when I was 13 and in 2017 I was finally given the chance to see my favorite musical ( at that time) my dream was to see the original cast but this was enough for me! It was a dream come true for me!!

Emmy Raver-Lampman's voice is beautiful, but Renee Elise Goldsberry's rendition is so seamless and heartbreaking.
Renee's spacing and timing is flawless. While this is an admirable rendition, it feels rushed and lacks the emotion Renee brought to the role.
I see the pain in her face at the end of the number and find it devastating.

He can carry a tune. I think he's more than aware that if he wasn't the one who wrote the music, he wouldn't be cast in role.

So talented, the vocals 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I'm not a huge fan of how she's acting this out however, a bit too emotive and almost happy for my taste - although I see what she's going for, Angelica's forced happiness for her sister, and in a way it's perfect. I just prefer a bit more toned down Angelica, but it's my taste. Emmy is objectively amazing anyway!

Oh man, this gave me the same feeling I got when I first listened to this song way back in 2015. It's easy to forget how good this show is with how hyped it's been for so long and becoming desensitised to the soundtrack version but this really is so incredible, she really owns it

I LOVE HER! When I saw Hamilton I saw it in L.A and I saw Emmy live and she was insane!!! I LOVED IT! I saw the show back in the summer of 2017! It was the best day of my Life at that time! It was my quinceañeras(15) gift! I was obsessed with Hamilton since 2015 when I was 13 and in 2017 I was finally given the chance to see my favorite musical ( at that time) my dream was to see the original cast but this was enough for me! It was a dream come true for me!!

i love her facial expressions!! especially the part where they go back to the present.. the way she changed her facial expression before singing "to the groom" showed how angelica is hurting inside but has to show a strong and happy front for her sister
