- Today AD is welcomed by the multitalented couple Daveed Diggs and Emmy Raver-Lampman for a tour of their crafty, colorful Los Angeles home. Working alongside interior designer Mandy Cheng, Raver-Lampman oversaw a stunning, steady transformation - one that delighted Daveed each time he'd return home from shooting TNT's "Snowpiercer." “Every time I showed up, there seemed to be some sort of surprise waiting for me,” says Diggs, who’s best known for his dual roles in the landmark Broadway musical "Hamilton". “Whole sections of our home were being created without me-yet clearly with me in mind.”

Imo is the fact that every single peace of furniture or decor is obviously very them; most of the time those celeb homs scream "so we hired someone to put stuff here" while this house is as laid back and stylish as the couple living on it.

I think they simply mentioned Hamilton because she was both in Hamilton in Broadway as a swing ensemble member who understudied all three Schuyler sisters and then became Angelica in the first tour of Hamilton. Like it doesn’t say Hamilton Star, it says Stars because they are both Hamilton stars…

i love how Emmy essentially designed the house but he knows the details as well. Clearly he listens to her ideas and supports her in everything which is so sweet. Also she also gives credit where its due so she listened to him in what he envisioned too.
At first I didn't recognize Emmy, I just realized she plays Allison on the Umbrella Academy. I also didn't know they were together and that Daveed moved out of the Bay Area. They have a beautiful home.

One of my fave AD videos: the joy and affection between Daveed and Emmy, Emmy's natural creativity and eye for design (the coffee bags??? macramé? black hashmarks becoming art???), how they incorporated Daveed's hometown in the design. I am always in awe of women with a good eye for design, as I am NOT that woman. Emmy is one of them.

That is not a house; that is a home. The statement pieces and spaces are not only visually striking, they are functional living spaces. I also really liked that a lot of their fun personalities shone through their house. Definitely one of my favourite homes on AD

they actually decorated the house themselves, instead of hireing interior designer, and it works, it's unique and funky. It looks like a home instead of showroom. Better than 99% of celebrity houses in here which only serve as an advetrisement for designer firms.

I love the idea of Daveed and Emmy's home. It's a nice, simple house with a luxurious touch but it's displayed from a more humble perspective. I like how the aesthetic of everything is warm and welcoming. What I especially love about their house is that it's not a ginormous house like you would normally expect when picturing a celebrity's house. Instead, it fits really well with a nice, modern, classical neighborhood. This is my favorite video right now because the vibes that come from this beautiful couple is outstanding and the house compliments everything they both like! I like that Daveed stood back and was like “tell them, babe.” He hypes Emmy up and I live for it!!! Make me proud to be from the Bay. And Her talent for design and art is insane. I feel like she could add some eccentricity to the backyard as well. The interior design has beautiful prints, plants and a worldly vibe and the pool area would be beyond amazing if she took that on as well. Regardless, one of the most thoughtfully styled homes I’ve seen.

This couple has one of the nicest homes I have seen. It is stylish, classy, warm, appreciated and those kitchen tiles are to die for. Just a vibrant loved-up couple who deserve what they have.
The most relaxed couple I've seen so far and this house was pulled out of my dreams. All I would change really is painting all the trim on the exterior of the house black. Love this house.

He's always been that way too! Way before the fame, he would come to my middle school and teach a hip hop/poetry class. He has come so far and it doesn't seem like he's changed one bit! He deserves it.

This is honestly one of the nicest interiors for any home tour I’ve seen. Definitely my favourite. It’s a great mix between a home that’s warm and has character to one that’s modern and I’d love to decorate my own home exactly like this when I’m older. The couple is so warm and loving, I wish I were related to them high key. They’re so fun and adorable and Emmy is just amazing, so much love for her.
Daveed has to be one of the most interesting people I've ever heard of. Never would have expected the same vocalist of clipping would be a hamilton star. He seems like such a chill, outgoing guy too, which surprises me considering of some of the stuff he talks about with his music. He's an amazing lyricist and rapper. For anyone who doesn't know clipping, definitely check em out

i only watch architectural digest tours when the homes are sensible and the owners genuine and down to earth people. like yeah obviously this is a beautiful and very expensive house and they’re both rich but when it comes down to it it’s still an actual home with personality and not a 44 bed 16 bath mansion that has multiple tennis courts that you have to drive to reach, you know?? it just feels actually lived in. i do also just love both daveed and emmy though :)
