5:30 "Variations" I would like to add that I missed two other camo variations of the M-65. That being the 6 color desert "chocolate chip" and 3 color "DCU or Coffee Stain" camo variations for desert/arid environments. The 6 color desert m65 is the rarest out of all the m-65s IMO. You will see them going for a pretty penny these days/
one of the best jackets of all time. this jacket is so widespread across the world that I've seen one since being a kid in other countries other than america and got my own eventually. favorite jacket of all time.
I love my m65! It's very warm and durable, but in cold weather, the M65 won't *always* be enough on its own- and I don't think it was meant to - proper layering is a must to stay safe and warm. L Great vid!
coming from someone who was in the army seeing you mix that camo hurts my soul, but also coming from someone who loves fashion this is pretty sick and support it.
I've been rocking the Travis bickle fit for yeeears, long term review... they are amazing buy one right now, they are amazing quality and they will dry up eventually and skyrocket in price. My fave is my 68 og107
while I do like the aesthetics of the olive version one (I used to have one from '86) but frankly speaking it wouldn't be my first or second choice of attire if i'd be going somewhere 'in the field'. for the nice weather- material is too thick (i.e nyco + cotton lining), lack of holes (not to mention zippers) in the armpits makes it less usefull than it could be. in the cold- it isnt' that warm, it's too short and if you have to do an actual work in it you will be sweaty. not too mention that pockets are so-so, the lack of internal pocket is annoying. I much more prefer west german army olive parkas for a colder days
It does originally come with a pretty good dwr treatment, but it does go away and will need to be waxed often to make it suitable for rainy weather. It is not goretex and is consists of a cotton shell that is not ment for down pour rain. I have seen many outdoorsmen in the UK use the M65 and they like it, it is about as waterproof as a standard british army smock. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMMENTING!

When you wipe snow off your coat brush really lightly and feather it off, NEVER rub, it grinds the snow in and wets it
Thanks for the information!
@@froginthewaves8450 No probs man, that how we get better at what we do -I can also recommend the arctic pants that go with that jacket :)

Nice! It truly is one of the most iconic and recognizable pieces of milsurp out there!

I thought your David’s Pumpkin Seeds ad was fantastic. You sold me brother, I’m buying another M65 and some seeds for the pocket
Nice!
I think you missed an opportunity to take a dive through the pine boughs
Perhaps

is this waterproof? can it be worn in heavy rain? planning on getting this for the uk winter

dunno understand what's liner is...they came with no liners, as far as i remember, and no way to match it with a goretex one
There are two pieces of fabric inside the jacket. You have the main santeen cotton shell and an interior oxford lining.
