Something to keep in mind (not related to vid) consider getting a drone and learning how to use it well. Tactics are shifting and that can act as a vital command and control element like in Ukraine right now.
I bought a men's Propper m65 field jacket. And that hood. The two inner buttons will match up with slots on the inner hood. But nothing else. So what I did. I laid everything down the best that could. And I took the slots on the hood and marked them on the jacket. I then took the buttons off the hood and sewed them on the jacket. That worked out well for me. I hope helps.
Nice uniform attachment system on the M65, but it’s butt ugly. I haven’t gotten the fur attachment for my Gortex. Thanks for the video…Merry Christmas!

Something I've been looking into. I'm going to be slowly adding videos on such ideas.
It's for a parka as well which has a different layout pattern for attaching. Used one in Korea back in the 70s

Good info, I'm sure alot of people will be wondering if after market M65s will work with the hood.

There two extra button holes on the hood. They attach to the epaulet buttons at each shoulder

I’d love to find a Gen 1 Parka. But large long is hard to find.
Scan ebay! Thats where this large long came from. It was about 70$
The m51 was a different hood altogether. The hood your showing was for the m65 field jacket and the m65 fishtail parker.
Ah thank you, I knew someone would have some solid knowledge on it! After I read your comment I looked them up and they are a pretty pricey item now.

It did match! I would think using a smaller ruff might have issues with the button alignment, I cant confirm that though

Man I have struggled with this set up with the same hood and jackets. I always seemed to have some out of place buttons.
