isn't cruising and highways the same? hence the name cruisers? lol. I feel ya, I like the Grom, I just bought one as a 3rd bike. Coming from bigger bikes, oh man it is an absolute joy to ride. I'm just a bit jealous that the Grom did not exist when I was looking for my first bike lol. Had to start on a big and ugly Ninja 500, messing with the carburetors before every ride. That was a pain.
+azura13liss I bet I've own a big bike a gsxr600 just rather go fast in a shell and by cruising I mean like back roads.... i own carb cars and fourwheelers so I know the carb life ...but yea I love my grom it will do 80 if i want it to but I got almost everything done to it u can do lol and thats fast enough for me without a shell
I'm still breaking in my Grom. It topped out at 62 full tuck, but it would cruise 45-55 comfortably all day. and yes I do a lot of county back roads (these are 55 mph roads right?), and city riding more than highways. and the Grom is made for that. I didn't even get to 300 miles yet on the Grom, and I feel like tearing the bike apart, 14t sprocket, braided SS brake lines (the stock brakes on the Grom is junk), better tires (debating between Pilot pures or diablos), race exhaust, kitako clutch covers, upgraded clutch/springs, take out the oil spinner, put a filter in, oil cooler, big bore kit, man too many to list. The first mod I did on the Grom, were adjustable levers, because man that clutch friction zone is way out there! lol.
+azura13liss I did everything but the brake lines and I put on some kenda endro tires for off road adventures the stock tires are dangerous if they are still vee rubbers....mine has like almost 2k miles it's a 2014 and the kitaco cover is a must plus a pc5 and wideband autotune with exhaust and all the other mods just makes me hit 80 82 if I hit red line in 4th
i did mine on an xr600 and when the guy went inside to do my paper work i couldn't resist going full moto on the track they set up so i powerslide my way through the course thinking he couldn't see me and he came back out and told me his desk overlooks the course...i left black lines all over the place but all within the lines and he said "obviously you have good control over the bike, just dont ever do that on the street" and handed me the paperwork saying i passed
2big 2fail no matter where you are they will fail you if they see you doing shit like that. They don't use big bikes for test either unless you own one then they might.
That Neon Channel , I'm sure you did not take it the state of CaliforNazi. In fact the DMZ motorcycle exam here is designed for instant fail, to get a licence here they make sure you go to one of those $400 MSF course, you know I dropped and almost ran over my MSF instructor and I still got my license because I paid for it, how corrupt is that? .
That's actually not bad.. id say ahah id mostly use it to get to work which isnt far from me... and to town which is like 45 mins away.. Grom would be perfect. just gotta save and get one then take the dmv shit hah.. hopefully its easy here in California as it is there haha
The test over here are more practical in daily ride upon passing. There are circuit test - pylon slalom, slope(stopping/moving off), figure 8, crank course, low speed balancing on narrow plank, e-brake and 1 test route on the actual road itself. Ensure you dont earned more than 18 demerit points or incurs 1 immediate failure or both. Once you passed, theres a familiarisation riding on the expressway escorted by the training school instuctors (Mandatory) before traffic police issued the driving licence. Almost similar with japan safety riding/driving school cos we adopted their stringent safety system. It took at least between few months to over a year pass the licence which consists theory and practical. As starter the licence only allowed rider to ride a motorcycle up to 200cc. Anything beyond that, they have to come back again to do their theory and practical test again with slight diff in the circuit test minus the road and also at shorter timing on average between 1-6 months. Not to forget rider must be at least in safety gears during practical training and test. No singlets, flip flop, shorts, non approved D.O.T helmets etc allowed. Elbow and knee pad are a must including riding gloves.
Oh well, just saves him from needing to take the same test all over again if he ever moves up to a motorcycle. Hell you can get an M1 with a CT70 which is only 72cc.
Chia Lee i want a grom for my first bike/vehicle. I get my California permit in a month. lol im buying a grom cash and doing this. its easier the smaller the bike you have
On the quick stop were you just in first gear im taking my motorcycle skill test this Tuesday and i was wondering because I can go 15mph in first gear but its pretty much redlining wondering how fast you remember going??
I took my test on a Suzuki Dr200 lol, another good bike. Tall, stable, nimble... then i got a VFR750 and that was a death trap. 102hp is a lot for something that only weighs a few hundred pounds...
might want to put whatever state your in into the title. in California you have a circle inside of the circle at the end of the cones that you have to keep the front wheel inside of. still easy though
Just wondering if what state are you in?- -I'm thinking to get the same bike too but I'm not sure here in Cali if its allowed to take a test with that bike. I don't know why its not on their manual if how many cc are allowed during the test. And also, good thing they allowed you to wear shorts LOL
Seems easy, where i live (california) we are required to ride in a circle and maintain front wheel within double white lines (easy on grom but impossible on some bigger bikes) Oh yeah and what is it with Groms and squeaky brakes? I've never seen this happen to any other bikes but Grom, even nearly brand new ones have this issue too
I just fixed up a CT70 that was in our barn and was like time to learn on. Not sure they would allow it to be used for the test due being a 1970 bike with no turn signals and they may not accept hand signals.
the DMV test here in VA sucks there is blue ridge weekend class that gives u a bike to do the test and u pay like 150 and get your license and you don't need to have a learner's either it's a lot easier
nice i still need mine.. a permit though is all i have lol. but i guess at least i have that. mostly everyone i know that rides big bikes dont have a license and stunt everywhere... so i prob should get mine its so easy to use the grom for it. even some of my friends with big bikes asked to use it for their test i just laughed at them. i guess people just get nervous for tests they already can ride their bikes good..
You guy over there have easy using a 125 to obtain a full motorcycle license. Here in the Uk we have to use a min 650 during our exams and do slow manoeuvre at no faster that quick walking pace at around 4-5mph.
You take a test on one of these your limited to 249 or less bikes and have to carry some id showing the bike has to be less then 249. Ride your buddies Harley and get pulled over that’s driving without a license!
That isn’t the full test in the US is it? I’m guessing that’s the equivalent of a CBT in the UK which allows you to ride with ‘L’ plates on your bike for a certain period. To get the full licence you now have to pass two pretty in-depth practical sessions and a theory test.
I'm using a buddies Grom to take the test in Va this coming up week. I've tried on a gsxr 750/failed gsxr 1300/failed and a zx12r/failed then the dmv staff told me the course is set up for a 250cc bike and that it's next to impossible to maneuver anything larger through the cones and u-turn without failing and quickly recommended I take the saftey course for $195 to obtain my m endorsement, basically it's set up to fail riders and funnel them through the saftey course at $195 a pop.....fuck that. #Grom
In Sydney Australia you would have failed big time, no gloves, no long sleeve shirt - they would have sent you home. Anyway, good job, on the road is a whole new ballgame it's a death trap at every corner. you best get a bigger bike if you want to see your next Birthday
You are suppose to wear a full length sleeve shirt, full length pants, and boots that cover your ankles. I’m not sure what type of course you’re taking but they should do a better job about safety. When I got my motorcycle license it was 95°, sunny, with 90% humidity and we had full gear.
wow lol lucky to live there - well in one way - if that is all the skill required to pass over there you would die rather quickly riding on uk roads :)
The UK test is harder than this, the swerve/ avoidance is after coming through a long 180deg curve and you must be over 30 mph through the marker, not so easy with only 10 bhp. When I went for my test the poor guy before me had failed for a third time on his 650, his instructor told me to aim for the gate after the swerve.
Manny Echaluce don't really want to get into a fight or anything but a motorcycle or dirtbike is way... different from a bike. But u are saying a 12 year old that has only ridden a bike can pick up a motorcycle and go?
+Galactics_04 well my girl is 4 foot and picked it up and started riding it in less the 5 mins by herself and never been on a bike or anything manuel everyone is different
+that neon channel I was wondering because I just bought a Honda Grom and want to take my motorcycle test and my bike doesn't have a license plate yet . Can I take the test without having a license plate on the bike or can I get a license plate on my Grom before I even take my motorcycle test little confused.
Ah yes, american driving test, takes like half an hour and ur good, here in belgium u gotta do like 9 hours of just driving and then u can go do your practical test, and then you can only drive 125cc or less cuz 125 and up is another license
Oh, wow. Though, I remember many of my friends say Germany, and maybe most of Europe, have much more strict, rigorous driving tests, to obtain a driver's license, than here in the US. Which saves much more lives than any seat belt could/does. The US has many more fatal car accidents, in population percentage, than than all of Europe combined.
they should make everyone take the test on a Goldwing, so by the time you pass the test, you'll be a pro already.
+azura13liss tru but I don't care for big bikes ...i like cruising...highways are gay
isn't cruising and highways the same? hence the name cruisers? lol. I feel ya, I like the Grom, I just bought one as a 3rd bike. Coming from bigger bikes, oh man it is an absolute joy to ride. 2big 2fail no matter where you are they will fail you if they see you doing shit like that. They don't use big bikes for test either unless you own one then they might.
Fake
Amazing how you got away with no jacket, no gloves, no over the ankle boot :D in Cali that would be instant fail
+Manny Echaluce I thought when I got there they was going to Cuz no pants or long sleeve but they didn't care lol I was happy it was easy too
That Neon Channel , I'm sure you did not take it the state of CaliforNazi. +Manny Echaluce rite
I hear you. Here in Ontario (Canada), dropping the bike on the MoT test means an automatic fail. What state is the test in the video taking place in?
+Stephen Quan West Virginia
You would never passed in Texas showing up in your short and t shirt 🤣🤣🤣
there's nothing in the law that says you can't wear shorts and a t-shirt. is just very frowned upon
It's like using a calculator to figure out 2 + 2.
+Ben Gjerde lol
True
reminds me of taking my drivers license test in a miata with the top down. Its like hitting that big red EASY button.
I was thinking of getting an R3 for my first ever bike.. but now the Grom seems likee more fun and can easily get me to the places id go :D
+jerry Paul I love my grom!
whats the miles per gallon on that puppy?
***** not really sure never really cared lol I put 2 bucks of 93 and it fills it up and I can go all weekend on it if say 100 mpg
***** give or take
That's actually not bad.. id say ahah id mostly use it to get to work which isnt far from me... and to town which is like 45 mins away.. Grom would be perfect. just gotta save and get one then take the dmv shit hah.. hopefully its easy here in California as it is there haha
great camera ....person. Steady.

I’m also going to take my Grom for the test 😂
A friend of mine took his 50cc scooter but they gave him an m1 license on accident
Oh well, just saves him from needing to take the same test all over again if he ever moves up to a motorcycle.
Hell you can get an M1 with a CT70 which is only 72cc.
This is absolutely CHEATING! LOL Damn lucky af.
Chia Lee i want a grom for my first bike/vehicle. I get my California permit in a month. lol im buying a grom cash and doing this. its easier the smaller the bike you have
+Tyler Chedister 😉I love my grom best money ever spent as long as 70 mph is fast enough for you ...it is for me
70 ! wow at 50 my Grom starts to wobble out of control, must be my heavy fat @$$
+Manny Echaluce 150 lb
stock grom cannot do 70. i only weight 140lb and my grom maxes out at 56mph. love the bike though!
That's awesome you got to take it on that. I had to take mine on a KTM. I would've loved to have taken it on the Grom, What an easy bike to ride?!
Wow, gotta admit I was expecting something way more intricate and challenging. I'm not mad at it though.
On the quick stop were you just in first gear im taking my motorcycle skill test this Tuesday and i was wondering because I can go 15mph in first gear but its pretty much redlining wondering how fast you remember going??
How tall are you man? Just wondering what I’ll look like on this
here in ms all you have to do on your driving test is drive about 70 yards turn around and come back lol the lady told me if i fall over i fail.
+Team_Evasive lol
Team_Evasive are you for real because im thinking about getting my license
Team_Evasive I got mine by riding 60 yards . and the old man said yeah you're good. Got my license
In TN I had to do a figure 8 around two cones without putting my foot down or stalling. That was the whole test.
Damn I knew our regular drivers license test was a joke (make a lap around the block) but I didn’t realize the motorcycle endorsement was too!
I took my test on a Suzuki Dr200 lol, another good bike. Tall, stable, nimble... then i got a VFR750 and that was a death trap. 102hp is a lot for something that only weighs a few hundred pounds...
iDrive4fun93 if you weigh a few hundred pounds your kinda heavy lol
i think he meant the bike only weighs a few hundred pounds
She almost looks like the quintessential librarian. Many could take cues from this lady.
This gets you the m1 correct and cali right ??
Just the video I had on mind an stumbled here, thanks
In Arkansas I just had to do a figure 8 like 3 times and I passed lol...
might want to put whatever state your in into the title. in California you have a circle inside of the circle at the end of the cones that you have to keep the front wheel inside of. still easy though
Is this in Georgia? If not its the exact same test and order.
Awesome video!!
Could you pass the entire test on a wheelie?
would it also be easy on a cafe racer
I also did my motorcycle safety course on a Grom
Well now thats just silly. Felt like i was watching peewee golf for motorcycles. Best bike ever for a noob to do the test on lol
Check out the test on Gromzen channel, he uses a drone and a helmet cam for the angles
wait no gloves or special boots??
Where is this at? Hawaii's test is identical.
Just wondering if what state are you in?- -I'm thinking to get the same bike too but I'm not sure here in Cali if its allowed to take a test with that bike. I don't know why its not on their manual if how many cc are allowed during the test.
And also, good thing they allowed you to wear shorts LOL
Wv
This makes me realize how much harder it is to get the license in my country ahahaha
Can I take mines on a razor electric dirt bike? 😂
rkx it was a joke bitch get them panties out your ass
Boy some folks take things too seriously
Lol
Seems easy, where i live (california) we are required to ride in a circle and maintain front wheel within double white lines (easy on grom but impossible on some bigger bikes) Oh yeah and what is it with Groms and squeaky brakes? How is squidding allowed on the motorcycle test?!
the DMV test here in VA sucks there is blue ridge weekend class that gives u a bike to do the test and u pay like 150 and get your license and you don't need to have a learner's either it's a lot easier
+0311USMC m yea I'm not far from blue ridge collage ... va does suck
lol I would love to do that using only the rear tire of my grom!! 😆
Where the hell are these tests? Here in UK you get like half the space for a u turn...
I'm gonna get one just to take a test lol I want a supermoto for the summer so bad ....
They are fun
I was assigned a Grom for my 3 day MSF training
+Billy Crozier that's awesome
+Billy Crozier that's awesome
im a little late but i might get a grom for my 14th birthday and im gonna go work at braums (i live in oklahoma)
I did it on my 450x sm. It was the fastest of the day but I was wishing I had a grom for it
How tall are you ?
nice i still need mine.. a permit though is all i have lol. but i guess at least i have that. mostly everyone i know that rides big bikes dont have a license and stunt everywhere... so i prob should get mine its so easy to use the grom for it. even some of my friends with big bikes asked to use it for their test i just laughed at them. i guess people just get nervous for tests they already can ride their bikes good..
check out UK mod1 test, that one you did was so easy.
LOL the CBT is harder than that.
bob yea man ahaha
Laurence Pickering WA
I'll be taking mine on a 2005 Suzuki boulevard c90.
I'm pissed. If I had known my mom could give me the test!!
Lol
You guy over there have easy using a 125 to obtain a full motorcycle license. Here in the Uk we have to use a min 650 during our exams and do slow manoeuvre at no faster that quick walking pace at around 4-5mph.
Cool! Test looks a lot more relevant to street riding than Pennsylvania's cone weave and 3 figure eights. What state was this?
Wv
Can you take the pA test on a grom...he cuz I live in PA and i want to get a grom
You are now bonafide. Next stop Hells Angels for a patch. Next stop, prison for doing their dirty work. 😅
You take a test on one of these your limited to 249 or less bikes and have to carry some id showing the bike has to be less then 249. Ride your buddies Harley and get pulled over that’s driving without a license!
Gratz dude
thanks bro
Smaller cities have easier tests. My city you can basically ride anything ride about 60 yards and you are a licensed driver
That isn’t the full test in the US is it? I’m guessing that’s the equivalent of a CBT in the UK which allows you to ride with ‘L’ plates on your bike for a certain period. To get the full licence you now have to pass two pretty in-depth practical sessions and a theory test.
Steve Davies nope, thats basically it. They hand you a license and you can drive what ever you can afford. No restrictions here.
Alexis Guy wow...
Oh yeah, no - it's a joke here.
How old do u have tobe
I'm using a buddies Grom to take the test in Va this coming up week. I've tried on a gsxr 750/failed gsxr 1300/failed and a zx12r/failed then the dmv staff told me the course is set up for a 250cc bike and that it's next to impossible to maneuver anything larger through the cones and u-turn without failing and quickly recommended I take the saftey course for $195 to obtain my m endorsement, basically it's set up to fail riders and funnel them through the saftey course at $195 a pop.....fuck that. #Grom
+Seth Rides right on bro
+That Neon Channel great video btw dude and thanks for sharing it
I took mine with a rented scooter in NJ but I heard they don't allow scooters anymore.
+John Jacob as long as it's registered as a motorcycle you can use it here in va but you're right, no scooters.
Seth Rides in Illinois the all motorcycle training/safety courses are free. Just use an Illinois address and show up
idk where you live, but in Arizona if you take the test on anything smaller than a 250 you get a restricted license
thomas cope anything under 100cc is restricted. Read the manual 😂👍
In Sydney Australia you would have failed big time, no gloves, no long sleeve shirt - they would have sent you home. Anyway, good job, on the road is a whole new ballgame it's a death trap at every corner. you best get a bigger bike if you want to see your next Birthday
good job man :)
+Jon Austin thanks bro
Is that all you have to do, to get the license?
In wv
Do you need license to ride a grom or an ssr razkull
Papus the husky J.h yes
This video with the overhead video here > ruclips.net/video/tZoCz2n_2R8/видео.html gives you a full angle of the test!
Are you in Martinsburg wv
Yea
i had a grom i should have taken the test on that thing, loved the bike but i'd rather have bigger bikes so i'm not rich enouph to just have a 3k toy
Are you taking your text in martinsburg we?
Yea
Cheating bro lol....I gotta do mine on a cbr 954 smh😂😂
Surprised they allowed you take the test as a SQUID!
Here in Canada, we can't pass the test with a bike under 400cc
XLouisGamerX thought it was 250cc?
That looks like a piece of piss compared to what we have to do on our "Mod 1" here in the UK.
You guys in the UK actually take safety seriously. Us? Throw down some tennis balls in a parking lot, you're good to go into heavy traffic.
You are suppose to wear a full length sleeve shirt, full length pants, and boots that cover your ankles. I’m not sure what type of course you’re taking but they should do a better job about safety. When I got my motorcycle license it was 95°, sunny, with 90% humidity and we had full gear.
Suckkkks 4 u I guess that's 1 good thing about wv
But how did you get the grom there? I thought you couldn't ride a motorcycle untill you've taken the test
+Laura Sanchez hmmm
+Laura Sanchez no i had a learners u take a written for and 30 days later u take a driven then u get a permeate license
blondes
+Vodka Bottle lol ur almost right

+Chris Baker lol yeaa
what state are you in?
+CptLz24 wv
Dam it’s mad small ngl
Try doing a real bike test in the UK
The u turn looked complicating how she was explaining.
Damn on my test we did a lot more than that
I did the basic rider course to get my M endorsement. Half the class failed. They weren't playing.
Lady in dress gets extra points with me! lol
+Acc0rd79 lol
wow lol lucky to live there - well in one way - if that is all the skill required to pass over there you would die rather quickly riding on uk roads :)
Cbt equivalent test only for 125cc there lucky in the states do test on grom go home ride a 1000cc 😔
How easy is it to Lear how to ride a grom?
+MasonF Vlogs easy!
+MasonF Vlogs taught my girlfriend in 5 mins
if you know how ride a bicycle you can ride a Grom, motorcycles are just bicycles with an engine..
How old do you have to be to take the text? PLEASE ANSWER!!!!
18 I think call your local dmv
16 in Missouri
How old were you
+Tyler Hayes 19
Would u recommend doing it on a Grom?
+X AWESOME BEN yea
+that neon channel k thx
+X AWESOME BEN np bro
Funny grom would be a joke to pass the test
I’m 16 can I take the test?
depends on state. in california you need to pass a Motorcycle Safety Course unless you are 21+
Seriously? Is that it? The UK test would scare the crap out of you.
No traffic test? No high speed braking test?
+Mormert not really the high speed braking was the 2nd part where i got up to 15mph and stopped real quick
I see. It seems so easy in your country. Still, great idea to bring the agile grom to the test! Well done.
+Mormert thanks friend
Imagine pulling up with a busa
Right truboee and streched also lol
She's fine
Does he suppose to wear a jeans for a test?
+Kamen Rider the lady didn't say anything
Does your bike have to be played to take the test
Plated**
+Bliz2020 huh
+Bliz2020 oh got ya yea it has to.be road legal with insurance
+that neon channel I was wondering because I just bought a Honda Grom and want to take my motorcycle test and my bike doesn't have a license plate yet . Can I take the test without having a license plate on the bike or can I get a license plate on my Grom before I even take my motorcycle test little confused.
+Bliz2020 Yea in wv i got my permit 1st then got tags and title then week later got my license

You cheat cheating by taking the test on a Honda Grom 🤣🤣
He has shorts and a t-shirt and he's gonna ride a grom?
It's a 125 chill
That Neon Channel not trying to criticize but it does hurt when you get a road burn from slipping off your bike even when going 40-45 mph
Trust me I know i broke my back of a gsxr600 on the highway cuz some lady merged over on top of me so sold the 600 and got this
I'm just dumb
