I had a very rough childhood and there were certain shows I watched to "escape reality". Blues Clues was one of them. I remember just feeling so calm and at peace when I watched Steve and Blue. @trevorbrune @blackdogbrown I've watched this before but I found it whole looking for the outro song I had stuck in my head. I cried so much I couldn't believe it. The first time I watched it I figured it was because the message is sweet and the memories. This time I realized it's deeper. No one connected to my childhood has ever told me they are proud of me or that I look good right now or keep doing what I'm doing. It's crazy how this person who doesn't know me could trigger these inner traumas I didn't realize still exist. It's so important we encourage our children.

He's essentially our generation's Mr. Rogers. Always a place for Steve in all our childhood's. Thank you for everything
I had both😊
I had both. They are both lovely. ♡
And I had both that I’m glad I grew up with.
I wouldn't go that far, Mr. Rogers saved PBS from a federal cutback, to where there would basically be no more public television, etc - tesitfied in front of congress even to do so, he was also pretty much a saint who never went anywhere, if anything - he went places (on his show) showed us those cool places, kept the show (and network) going single handedly, and did so without becoming corrupt or dissapearing, a truly rare type of person. Don't get me wrong, Steve's character AND actor is something special, but Mr. Rogers did all that because he wanted to, not because he may/may not have been asked to by some big network.
@@luishirschlieb6083 Your saying alot of stuff that had no effect on kids emotions. Mr. Rodgers was an amazing humanitarian and there isn't anyone else like him. But to insinuate that steve is less than because he didn't do all those things, doesn't change how he made kids feel. Those emotions that both these amazing men helped to grow are equal. It doesn't matter what their achievements were.
Nostalgia.

The closure I needed 😭😭 I am now a design graduate huhu. Steve is the reason why I love drawing. He was able to simplify drawing complex shapes and it did sure was something fundamental during my growth. Aghhhhh made me cry
"I never forgot you". That really just caused a flood down my face.
LOVE YOU STEVE!
Ever ❤😭❤😭❤😭
🍊 *I WISH MY ASMR VIDEOS WERE ALSO COOL LIKE HIS TV SERIES.* 🍊😭
Y'know when I was a kid, my parents were always too busy working to see me grow, so when I was by myself, waking up every morning, all I had was Steve to welcome me into a new day.
Thank you Steve, you gave me the company a once kid like me always struggled to have
That's ... sweet and kinda sad all at the same time.
Deep deep words ... as a parent now u just made me think about my kids
Man bro got me crying even more with those words 😭
Why am I crying omg
I experienced the same thing
I really found comfort in his shows as a kid..feels good to find this feeling again (:
Simply put. I like that , yes 👍
So manly bro *sniff
I was your 1k like. Congrats !! :)
I'm literally crying. 😭 We missed you Steve, you were an important part of our childhoods!
The fact that he not only celebrates his celebration but also ours is really heartwarming, I miss him so much
It makes me feel an overwhelming amount of emotions. Lol
Like someone else said, like to talking to an old friend that you haven't heard from in a very long time.
I already knew I was destined to cry at this, but the moment he said "I never forgot you... Ever.", that's when it all kinda just came out. I started ugly-crying and hugging my screen and telling Steve that I love him. This man is my whole childhood and I never forgot him either.
im glad we're in the same boat...

That moment made me cry too. After all of this time, one of my childhood heroes who left so abruptly said he remembered me. I feel so emotional right now.

I am not afraid to admit this, when I saw this initially, I cried and it still makes my eyes tear up. Steve's era of Blue's Clues was my earliest days of childhood, period. I can recall getting so excited every time I watched this show back then. This show forever has the biggest place in my heart and always will 💙
Oh yeah, also. I never forgot you either, Steve! 😭❤
We never forgot him this still brings tears to a grown man's eyes

yeah, My youngest self is still sad about his retirement from blue clues but, We all from growing up with who have/watch Steve are the greatest/ the best moments ever! 💯💗😍 we love you Steve! 🥰🥰🥰
I was hoping he'd talk about his identity crisis bring the reason he had to leave and that's why Joe doesn't share a name with his actor, the same thing could potentially happen to Josh.
This makes me get teary eyed and cry almost everytime 31 now brought me back to 4-5 years old watching blues clues as a kid
This man said more positive things to me in 2 minutes than what my actual father has done in his entire life.
You’re great and the world is blessed to have you.
Plus you have an awesome profile picture. Lol

Me too. When I saw this message I felt so loved and validated by my childhood hero.

I’d imagine he’s like what mr. Rogers was for a younger generation. Very glad he’s still around 💕
