When MIG-21 BISON is getting retired from Indian airforce and removed from active service for good MIG-29 models is more cheaper to buy when prices gets lowered for improved MIG-29 models.

This aircraft never was better than F-16 first issue of mig-29 smokey engine, 2 no fly by wire , no glass cockpit and last but not least high maintenance due to dual engine

@@mr.mastermind4840 if it's a updated version of F-16 than mig 29 would have very tough to win except it gets very close and pilot is a better than one in F-16
1. It has RD-33 series 3 engine. It doesn't smoke. It's easily visible on the UPG compared to the legacy -29s still in service.
2. It has fly-by-wire. Early MiG-29s didn't have HOTAS, but fly-by-wire exists on all variants.
3. UPG has a full glass cockpit like the SMT. 2 LCD MFDs and 2 smaller LCDs.
4. MiG-29 pioneered the HMD and high off boresight capabilities paired with its weapons suite. No American IR missile matches the performance of the R-73 apart from the latest Aim-9X.
5. It's radar has a 90° bore. It can literally lock aircraft flying off its wing, notch an incoming missile while still maintaining lock.
6. RD-33 Series 3 literally has a longer service life and an electronic/software interface to make maintenance easier.
7. You are the classic example of comparing legacy variant MiG-29s with current F-16s. You sir, are the highest form of idiots we find surprisingly still alive on earth.
