I can never get over the sheer size of the Su30MKI

There's something irresistible about Su 30 MKI.... I can watch them all day.
Rafale and Su 30 MKI are really very powerful but Jaguars occupy a very special place in my heart....I live near Gorakhpur Air force base and I have been watching jags since 1989..😊

Sepecat Jaguar took, more runway length for take-off!! Unlike AL-31 engine of Sukhoi, Jaguar & Rafale flame was Yellow!!( AL-31 had a blue flame!!)
From 11:14 to 12:34, two more Sepecat Jaguar took off!! How Jaguar, look from behind!! I mistook them, for Mirage 2000😮
Those Sukhois are still way more impressive than any of the other air-crafts. 😀

Wow. 25mins of pure jet noise. Can it get any better than that. Beautiful footage. And look at the mind boggling acceleration in the Rafale. That first Rafale takes off in under 12 seconds, the Sukhois take off in 20-25 seconds and the Jaguar seems to keep runnin' and runnin' and runnin' on till half a minute or more.
No drop tanks, much lighter hence fast take off.

The Jag, in a warfighting set-up, extra fuel and a useful bombload or a recce pod, will use much of the runway to get airborne.
The later Jaguar International, with much improved engines, is far more capable, not to mention the advanced target-marking and weapon aiming systems. These improvements were added to British Jags.
Troubled from the beginning by being a Breguet design, not a Dassault design, the French officially never wanted to upgrade them, resulting in then remaining underpowered, overloaded with fuel (if used outside France) and limited to support roles and training.
In British, Indian and Nicaraguan service, it became a flexible strike and recconnaisance aircraft, steadily improved until retired (early) in the 1990s after proving a success in the Gulf War.

When i saw the 3rd edition of Aero India, there were only 4 - 6 fighters that made the display
firstly our Mirage, Jaguars, Mig -29 and SuryaKiran that did some crazy Aerobatics and finally the Sukhoi-30MKi which made a special appearance because at that time there was no partnership and were manufactured only in Russia. It did only 2-3 maneuvers and landed very early due to weather factory. Today you have Internet, Social media and etc. but at that time it was a great thing to watch them. Luckily we had student passes from RV College-Bangalore. But today you have a dozen and a half fighters, choppers, AWACS, Heavy Haulers like C-17, IL-96, the Boeing-P8i, Dorniers and many more

We need to buy more newer generation jets like the F35. We cannot compete with the other superpowers with only the Rafale
We are buying anything new we are now making our own 4.5 gen & 5th gen aircrafts Tejas MK2 coming in 2025 AmCa 5th Gen first flight by 2028-2029. Tejas more variants coming too they will all replace the old aircrafts like mirage and jaguar

Can't help wondering why the Sukhoi's engine burns with a blue flame and the Rafales and Jaguars are putting out orange flames. Either way, these things pump out a lot of heat.
Scientifically blue flame means better and complete combustion of fuel. Although not sure if same thing applies to After Burner Jet engines.
Because russian engines use different fuel
I saw blue flame from F35B engine!!
