This is the Deluze Orphean guitar you can pick in the New Dawn Fades chapter of Cyberpunk 2077.
Parts I used/made:
guitar kit: www.thomann.de...
modified Alnicov headless tuners: www.amazon.de/...
CNC machined aluminium inlays, neck plate and logo
Schaller Strat knobs: www.amazon.de/...
Dilwe hardtail bridge: www.amazon.de/...
Humbucker covers: www.amazon.de/...
stainless steel selector switch: made on the lathe - if YOU know a source, please tell me in the comments! It's a pain in the butt for me to machine.
stainless steel hand guard: made from sheet metal 'borrowed' from an old espresso machine

I love how the "bombs" in between the frets are actual metal inserts and not just painted on.
It's a lot of machining work and manual finishing, but the result is totally worth it.
When you want something solid and true and got the eddies for it
Those open faced pickup covers really bring it together i feel, very cool
I would actually buy this lmao
Man this is so cool! Any chance you take commisions to do this? I have a strat I can send lol
Missed the opportunity to play New Down Fades by Joy Division on it…
Either way is beautiful
Cool DYI guitar SImon, thumbs up 👍
Just finished my own DIY guitar this week and I love the creative proces of designing and painting....
Have a great weekend...
Bert
Thank you Bert! You did a lovely paint job on yours, I just watched the video 👍
Soo excited for the contest, lots of great builders!
@@simonmakes such a cool experience building your own guitar, I never worked with spray cans before
@@BadassBrutusGuitar For me, nitrocellulose lacquer was a first. Great stuff!
@@simonmakes 👍👍👍
That is impressive. And the boy can play
Thank you so much!
I don't get the practice time I'd like to get.. tbh. 🙂
Are you deaf? He sound's atrocious.
Man I wanna build myself one so bad
@@szeglowskip2 And you should! In fact, chances are you'll probably do a better job than me. Don't let my reality hinder your imagination!
@@simonmakes I need the neck made for me because I don't have a CNC but the body I can handle no problem. I refuse to make one without that fret board, it's too cool not to
how did you measure it for the cutout of the body? would love to make one of these
Excellent job! Can you tell me how the beaker on the strings in this product is adjusted?
I wanna try to make one now
Way to go!
I really wish there was some way to buy the wooden parts and the metal inserts of the guitar already cut and made :( anyone able to help?
@Simonmakes
will you take payment for one of these
Where do you get the volume/tone pots from? would love a set
Beauties, right? They're from Schaller - you'll find a link in the video description.
I just need some of those custom pickup switch Shifter tops for my custom model
Its brilliant! And where you got this metal pickups bodies?
Thanks! They're humbucker covers, cut down and soldered back up to the size of a single coil.
@@simonmakes Thank you so much! Can't wait to do this guitar
where did you get that selector switch knob? i cant find one like it anywhere
Do you sell the kit for your CNC machined aluminium inlays, neck plate and logo?
Not at the moment.. interesting idea though.
Would you ever sell them?
Missed the opportunity to play some samurai *and* you played a forbidden riff instead? ;_;
Cool idea ! Did you build two guitars ?asking because of your previous video 😅
I did! The first one was not based on a kit, so I couldn't participate in the #diykitchallenge22
This one applies to the rules - and it completes my collection of Deluze Orphean guitars from the game 😁
@@simonmakes okay I get it - man that’s some real effort making the guitar twice!
@@ijumitzu Ah, practice makes perfect - this time it felt a bit more like I knew what I was doing! :-D
@@simonmakes yeah exactly I built a diy kit too a few years ago for my dad’s birthday, this time I also felt a bit more confident 🙈
I love that you're making all of these Cyberpunk Guitars. Are you planning on making the Tenzor Paradize?
You should make Kerrys guitar 🎸
I want one 😭
Hi is there anyway I could make the headstock “tuners” fit for bass strings because I was thinking of doing something similar with my p bass and I wasn’t sure how I could make the whole string thing work
The headstock string holders for this guitar are barely good enough for regular guitar strings - you'd need something way beefier for bass strings.
I always wondered: how the hell would you install a whammy on that? Would it be like a digi-whammy?
forget that, how do you palm mute? i'm pretty sure the guitars in samurai use palm mutes, how would that work on this guitar?
@@femboykirby yeah you have a point there. Archangel has palm muting
Where did you find the mesurments for the bottem where the tuners go?
The tuners come with a machined mounting plate. It defines the spacing, I just went ahead with that measurement.
hello, the guitar is beautiful. please, tell me where you found the bridge, the microphones, the buttons... I only found the used kits in the description
Hey, thanks a lot!
I've updated the video description with the parts you asked for. The pickups are part of the kit, I did not change them.
@@simonmakesnice! thanks! I like your videos
What’s the name of the string holders in the cut out piece, trying to build my own?
There's a link in the video description.
How did you do the headstock? Did you just fill in the tuning peg holes or did you di something else? What’s holding the strings is what I mean…Im working on making one and im kinda stuck on that part lol
The strings are held by headless string holders - they're part of the Alnicov headless tuning kit.
Having the damnedest time finding a string spacer or whatever it is between the bridge and the tuners. What is that and where can I find it, or do I have to make one myself?
You'll have to make it.
Where have you buy the covers for single coils? And the steel selector is made by you? AMAZING PROJECT!
Thank you so much!
The covers for the single coils are made out of humbucker covers that I cut up and shortened, then soldered back together.
The selector switch was turned on the lathe, that's correct.
@@simonmakes really thanks for the reply! I'm ordering all pieces to start the Johnny Silverhand guitar project 😍
@@danielepallavicini Very cool, please share your progress!
@@simonmakes Sure! And the bar that change the chords angle is made by you?
@@danielepallavicini Correct! It's a piece of flat steel and six shoulder bolts.
I want to know where to get that sideways pickup height adjustment.
What did you use for the “tuners” at the headstock to hold the strings?
The string holders are part of the headless tuner kit - I've put a link in the video description
*_"No palm muting for you!"_*
*The Soup Nazi*
I need me one of these
Damn i'm so glad the Amazon links are from Germany for a change, it means i can order the stuff as well (Belgium) as opposed to all the Amazon US links 😂
Are the humbucker covers/frames link still the same ? Because they don't look anything like those you used on both your Guitar ?
I don't know anything about guitars so i might be wrong, i just think it might be a cool project for summer 🥰
Way to go, fellow European! 😁
The humbucker covers are the same - I have to modify them by cutting out the middle section and soldering them back together. Sketchy stuff..
But if you want to try the build yourself I'd love to see it!
@@simonmakes Thanks for the quick reply, my German neighbour ! 😄
Oh okay it makes a lot more sense now, i was thinking of cutting them to size but it seemed like a bit of a drastic measure, perhaps the link had changed or something.
I've never soldered before so that'll be a first. If i get to working on this i'll post pics and credit you on socials for the tutorial ✌
Might even paint some Cyberpunk stuff on my motorcycle reservoir this summer too while i wait for my knee surgery to heal so i can ride again 🥰
the one part i cant seem to understand is the part between the tunners and the bridge
They a simple shoulder bolts
should sell these
If you can make another Version of this guitar in Matte black for me I will literally pay you in cash App or I can send you my guitar through the mail and I really need a professional person help creating it because I don’t have the tools to make it And the Deluze Orphean is my dream guitar
I'm flattered that you'd consider me a professional 😉 (I'm not!)
Contact me via simonmakerchannel-at-gmail-dot-com and we'll see what we can do.
@@simonmakes think you so much for replying to this I will be emailing you soon 👍🏽
@@simonmakes Is there something wrong with your email Because I emailed you twice and no response 😬
@@infamous4344 Email is fine - we are living in different time zones. No worries!
@@simonmakes oh all right just reply back if you can 😅👍🏽
in CP2077 you see street guitarists using electric without any amps or connections, IDk why guitar makers never got the idea to embed a small speaker on electric guitars so they can be played anywhere.
My guess is it'd chew through batteries like tic tacs, but I could well be wrong. Oh, and it probably wouldn't sound as good either.
2 words: feed back
@@snakezase2998 ohhh yea
@@snakezase2998 still there got to be a way around it.
What did you use for a bridge like that?
Links to all parts are in the video description.
What paint did you use?
It's actually car paint - not ideal, I know, but it was the only metallic paint I could find on short notice.
I guess i just wanna hear the damn thing being shredded by a guy know knows how to play samurai songs
Does it stay in tune?
@@siegistic Well, let me put it this way.. it doesn't like playing bends too much.
As much as I love this game & Samurai it’s still hilarious to me that this is supposed to be the guitar that Johnny uses on palm muted rock riffs
what did you use to redirect the strings between the bridge and the tuners? is it custom or a prefabbed part?
Edit: just saw below that its a custom fab. can you give some detail on it? looks like the screws have something over them or been smoothed
The screws are the shoulder bolts from the original trem system.
Man can you make one for me and ship it to Mexico?
The Original Deluze Orphean in the Game Was Full Black..
(Fun Fact: Jhonny Silverhand Never used any other Color of Guitar in the Table Top.. Kerry was the one that Used Differnt and Colored Guitars..)
The color yu Gave looks Cool but to be Like the Original should have been like the Guitar from David Gilmore..
Full Black and with the Crazy Cut he has on this Guitar to looks Futuristic, the Crazy Cut Next to the Bridge all his guitars Have this..
(and his Guitars its like a Fender with a Hand of a Ibanez.. But the Body is always Strat.)
The Coolor in your Video Looks Red becouse its in the Stand.. In the Game when yu Get her to Play yu will notice the Guitar its Full Black.. Like Metal Paint Black.
the deluze orphean thats in the game is red
looks great , sounds horrible
Nice to see that at least half of the video is fucking missing.
Please invite a good guitarist to showcase your work, you make all that hard work and effort and phenomenal skill and dedication sound like cr@p.
WOW! THAT'S AWFUL! So much ornage peel!
Do u have a stencil or measurements for the bottom cut out
How did you get the bend at the end of the srings
They bend around shoulder bolts - one for each string.
@@simonmakes and the spacer
@@snoopysnoozin271 evens out the load
@simon makes last question how did you do the switch tip
@@snoopysnoozin271 It's a piece of round stock I turned on the lathe.
