One thing that we REALLY want to see is these systems in ACTION draining and moving big amounts of water.
It's always an install but hardly ever the finished product in action.

I wish it would have been as easy to stand in the trench, but we were sinking almost immediately. Couldn’t even get the machine through

Hi there,I’m from New Zealand and our beautiful down under country, we are big on DIY - even girls like me. Your video grave me the courage to try a big project in my housing block which hopefully we will do it over the summer. I’ve French drained all my property, but there is a river-lagoon over my property line that runs behind a serious of houses. I will send your video to my neighbours, get a quote by professionals - also showing your video, and even if we don’t get the proper funding, I will propose a neighbour squadron to tackle this. The main problem will be to convince bloques that a blonde girl has it right. Your video will definitely be my manly help. Tanks so much and Cheers.

    Wow
It is so beautiful and methodical. What I love mostly about your video is how detailed description is given by you on your work, which is extraordinarily professional. The manner in which you explain such a massive job in simple terms where anybody could understand . Your expertise and professional skills on the job , gives the viewers the confidence that they are in good hands , and Ofcourse how beautifully you sum up a massive job in.very simplistic forms.
I simply loved watching your video although I am far far away from you , in a tiny island called Srilanka.
What made me to browse through the UTube videos is simply because the house we bought is on a low elevation and right next to a ditch and a water drains right outside my residence parapet wall. The area rain water is all directed to the adjoining ditch through the drains which overflows into my garden and into the house.
I was thinking to myself how fortunate the people in that country to find such experts on the field of construction.
Although, I am not so fortunate to live in a land full of high technology and expert knowledge, simply gathering ideas by browsing through various videos on UTube to find a way to resolve my problem.
Thank you so much for this video which gives an insight to people in similar situations, not only in USA but anywhere around the globe.
    God Bless you.

Hi, I live in NW Arkansas and I am learning alot to solve my water issues. I have zero street drainage, i.e., no curb storm sewer. Rain water runs down into my yard. A very large lot (.7 acres) We get heavy downpours in spring and fall. Water ponds but does get absorbed after a while. I have just begun some work. Bc of you. I can be cost effective and use the correct pipes. Big THANKS. Just a smal thing. I am watching in 1080p60hz but get a lot of pixel distortion when you speed up the motion. Your cam isnt capturing as well. Its a bit distracting. Maybe a setting on your camera?

To anyone watching this in the US, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act prohibits the filling and draining of a wetland without regulatory authorization from the US Army Corps of Engineers and your state regulatory authority. Anyone caught doing this without the necessary permits can face adjudication or sued in federal court and fined $11,000 per day for everyday the illegal activity is in place and not returned to the original natural state. You must have a wetland delineation performed and submitted to the Corps of Engineers. In addition, you can be required to pay or perform compensatory mitigation at 1 to 3 times the area of the initial impact. Some mitigation credits can cost up to $100,000 per acre. And yes before anyone states otherwise, this can apply to areas within a developed neighborhood. It depends on the connectivity of the wetland to other waterbodies/systems. GET A PERMIT.

I don't need a site location tied up in red tape for months and engineered plans that cost the customer $1000s of dollars. I've seen and lived 20k-30k in BS red tape. Nobody caused this problem. We moved the water out of this homeowners yard and put it in a place that wildlife and migratory birds can enjoy the habitat. It was a fun job. One day job for us then on to the next job. BTW 3 years later and it's still working great.

My backyard is a 30ft deep concrete drainage canal to the river under a University. We have less than 10ft of backyard from the back wall of the house.
Just saying there’s extremes... still have a downspout in my front yard where you can lose your shoe in the mud.

French Drain Man vs. Apple Drains

Lol seriously 2 very different people and operators. He's a minimalist FDM at a whole nother level. If you want to band aid it for cheap Apple Drains is your guy. FDM builds systems that last FOREVER!!
Thank you for commenting we really do have fun with that corners cutting Apple guy.

Appreciate the work, but unfortunately your the LAST guy on the job after the McMansion was built. Now you get to deal with the incoherent building codes that allow for waivers to build in areas like this without proper catchment. Also, 90% of your work is because of the 20psi requirement for foundation compaction prior to pouring footings and walls. It drastically affects the water table, especially in lowland and bottom land areas developers are changing into communities where cattle and critters used to be.
