Well found that man 👍 I have a Faithfull no 3 and it does see some use, very handy when addressing those awkward little places that sometimes show up right at the end.
Thanks, I have a couple of Threes and they're as small as I'd go as users with my hands size tbh, they're an ideal smoothing plane for a woman or teenager ! I always keep an eye out for a reasonable no 10 just because I'd like one rather than because I need one ! 😉
@@andyc972Thanks for watching Andy. I know what you mean, my hands are on the big side for the No3 too. Keep your eye out for that No 10. Merry Christmas, Brian
Glad you found those planes ! The # 3 is one of my favorites , i looked for one for years . I also have a # 10 1/4 bench rabbet plane which a friend gave me , also hard to find .Take care
I have a few of those No.3s, a couple that I still use regularly. I've seen that rabbet plane but too far gone to restore. One day hopefully. MC from Canada.
I've everything from No.2 to No.8 Stanleys, plus a couple of Records & a new Luban 5½. TBH I rarely use any bench planes other than No.5½, of which I have four & No.7. I think I have half a dozen No.4's & really should move some of them on.
Hey, I have both of those plus a small jack plane with a small jack plane with a one and three quarters blade. TKS for a nice post on a wet Monday in Illinois..DT..
