Competition from Alfa Romeo with the 105 series (which also had racing success, and which also had an all alluminum DOHC 4-cylinder that was slightly bigger and torquier) and Lancia with the Fulvia. And both the Alfa and Lancia were as pretty, even if not as Ferrariesque in design, given their 'three-box' approach.

Unfortunately price. It was around 1200-1500 more than a 427 Vette. What a great engine sound. 1/3 a Colombo V12. Great vid!
