- Blitz's voice ator is a youtuber (Brandon Rogers, pretty much one of the OGs of this site), and vibe-wise he's actually even more Blitz than Blitz is. If that makes sense.
- Moxxie wanting to fuck Michael Crawford harks back to him being a fan of musicals, and Phantom of the Opera specifically. Michael Crawford played the Phantom.
- Just a reminder that pretty much the entire cast of this show are hellborn, NOT sinners, so none of them have ever been human. This means that they don't have souls (afaik), age and can die, and aren't inherently "bad" people by virtue of being in hell. They're just native species. Imps, in Blitz, Moxxie and Millie's cases, hellhound in Loona's, and succubi/incubi in Verosika and her crew's.
- To add to the matter of human disguises and being required to use them in the human world:
they aren't even supposed to be in the human world AT ALL, even if they had magic disguises.
I.M.P. operates their business by use of Stolas' magic grimoire, which he's lending them _illegally_ (this is further explained in the Pilot episode that aired before episode 1, which isn't strictly canon anymore but still provides a pretty good introduction to the show and might be a useful watch for some info that isn't covered in the series)

Human Disguises aren't things you can normally just purchase. The reason Loona has one is because she's a Hellhound and they inherently have the power to do that. Imps are the lowest, weakest denizens of Hell, they're all the way at the bottom, and hell's hierarchy is all about how powerful you are. So they would need some kind of, like magic ring or something to do the disguise for them. Which does exist.
Here's the thing though, they are NOT supposed to be on Earth to begin with. IMP as a business is basically illegal, which yeah it's Hell so "illegal" kinda has conditions attached to it. But yeah, they're not officially allowed to go to Earth, they use Stolas' grimoire to do it, which they are not supposed to have at all. They're basically using the back door to Earth. So as a result they need to figure out regular disguises on a budget, hence the silly outfits. They also need to NOT get caught, cause if the higher ups of Hell figure out they're up there, that would be bad.

Hellhounds are weird.
Hell is structured on a power curve, and Imps have the least. They don't really have their own magical powers, they're small and not very strong, Millie and even Blitzo are examples of rather exceptional Imps, but neither of them is quite as tough as Loona.
Hellhounds are above Imps in power, but their role in Hell is also kind of like pets or servants if they're being adopted at least. Imps aren't generally high brow enough to have Hellhounds in their service, Loona is only here because Blitzo adopted her.
So Hellhounds are kind of a wild card, but as a general rule, Imps are at the bottom of the pecking order. Like there isn't anything technically STOPPING Loona from killing IMP and leaving, aside from her not wanting to. She also controls the grimoire, so she could literally dip and live on Earth at any time, she's sticking around ultimately because she likes Blitzo, even if she doesn't like showing it.

The whole no human disguises bit is a skill gap issue not a money issue, Loona is kinda like their mage.
That and traditionally hellhounds would be sent to the Human world to reclaim people who tried to back out of a deal with a demon, so it kind of makes sense that both her and Vortex has one. It may be a native skill for Hellhounds.
It also makes sense that Stolas can do it, but Via hasn’t quite figured it out yet. He’s been practicing magic for decades (centuries probably) and she’s just learning.

So just in case you see this. Bit of information that will explain a bit. Blitzo and the rest of them (including his ex) are imp’s that are born in hell (hells native people) and therefore are different and follow different rules as “sinners” which are humans that die and end up there. The company they run is for sinners.
Also there is a ranking system which rules hell.
The Michael Crawford line was reference to Moxxie being a musical theatre lover since he played the Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera which is Moxxie’s favorite musical

Aaaaaaw, don’t worry Danny, the episodes will improve a LOT going forward. The narrative will clear up and get more focused, the plot will start happening, and we get more centered on our main cast of characters and it gets more focused on fleshing them out more, bit by bit. It’s UNBELIEVABLE, especially by the end of season 2, you feel like you have an actual story and 3D characters that you can do SO much with!!! It’s brilliant!! And I can’t WAIT for you to watch it happen!! It’s going to be so awesome!!! 😂❤❤❤❤

Yeah I’m sure people have said this already; there is a hierarchy in Hell so Imps are one step above Hellhounds who are basically like dogs who are generally adopted or hired to do security work. Loona’s story is told later in the series but she is Blitzø adopted daughter for all intended purposes
I wonder if you’ll tackle the pilot episode. There are a few nods to it here and there, like when Blitz says “did you get that insurance thing?” It’s a callback to the pilot and they nearly kill a child and have to deal with the American healthcare system.
Honestly didn’t really notice those callbacks before but I love that. And I think it doesn’t matter too much if he does or not, because the pilot is at least half not canon. Most likely more. Hence why it’s no longer on the official playlist for Helluva Boss. Maybe he can check it out after he reaches the end of what they currently have released. Because by then, hopefully he’d be able to figure out what parts are canon and what aren’t.

Hey Danny, I wanted to say, there was a music video released after season 2 episode 7 called “Look My Way” It was made by the Helluva Boss creators. It is a canon part of the story for this show, so if you could watch that after season 2 episode 7, that would help you understand the story after season 2 episode 7. The music video is a bridge between season 2 episode 7 and season 2 episode 8.
