The whole joke of ep 2 was that Stolas doesn't *really* need bodyguards, he's just horny about watching Blitz work. When he started to focus on Octavia he took the would-be attackers out like it was nothing.

In my opinion, Episode 6 is THE turning point where Helluva goes from like... a few funny mildly unconnected episodes to a deeply intriguing continuous plot that has genuine weight and makes you care. While also being just fckn badass.

@@ava_bndrabbs1111 Because they are not canon to the show (most of them are voice actors having fun) but people started to make theories based on them with some very heated fights and became so obnoxious that they stopped the accounts at one point for what I remember.
The way you described the comedy in this show made me realize why I enjoy it so much. IT'S MEL BROOKS STYLE HUMOR. joke, after joke after joke, so that even if one doesn't land you're going to see another within the next 30 seconds that will.

The reason Moxxie was so against Striker being able to kill Stolas. Is because when hellborn demons die they get erased, but I.M.P inly kills humans and they get sent to the afterlife. It isn’t a permanent death.

And because to him, humans aren’t his kind. Stolas is his kind just royal. And someone being able to so easily permanently kill someone so powerful (that is the reason he has a job btw) is scary. And it’s probably illegal.
I doubt that. It's heavily implied (pretty much outright said) IMP used to do regular assassination work. We haven't been told why they stopped other than that they were able to once they got the human assassinations part of the business off the ground, but given we see Moxxie kill other imps without much if any hesitation, it's unlikely it's a moral qualm for him beyond it being someone he knows, unless imps specifically believe in reincarnation within hell, which might give a separate moral weight to killing them in his mind.
But we don't get any indication of that, so it's probably just a combo of him not liking Striker, their company needing Stolas alive, and Moxxie knowing and not particularly disliking Stolas.

@@whitenobeard In 2x01 Blitz says "Oh, no, I kill people now!" when asked how his career at the circus is going. That was before they were able to do jobs on earth, so the only people they could be taking hits on would be demons in Hell. In 2x03 Blitz repeatedly tells Crim they don't take contracts in Hell "anymore", indicating they that used to be their business. There might have been other references to it I'm forgetting, but those one's are the most explicit that I recall.
And on the topic of Moxxie killing other demons, he almost certainly did kill non-imps in his past line of work before he met Blitz, now that I think about it, so the idea of him not having a moral issue with kill because of some belief in reincarnation would have to extend to other non-immortal demons and specifically not extend to demon royals for it to make sense as to why he'd be fine killing them and not royals, without it being an issue of sentiment or just classism.

You can tell he's not in any real danger because of how relaxed he is when he's actively being kidnapped/assassinated, and how at the end of the episode he straight up turns a guy to stone when he's over everyone's shit

I wouldn't say it's a hassle for him. He turned an imp to stone easily just with a glance when it came to Via. He doesn't seem to have bodyguards other than Blitzo (I'm not counting the party staff because they seemed to moreso fit the bill of bouncers, not necessarily protecting Stolas, but the estate).

I remember the wait for this episode. It was taking longer than usual for this ep to come out; not that we ever get an actual release date for an episode, but at that time there was usually about two or three months between episodes. Then we saw the episode, saw Moxxie's hallucination scene and then especially that KICKASS fight scene and were like, "Oh. That's why."

The reason Stolas asked for a bodyguard wasn't because he needed protection, he just wanted an excuse to be around Blitz. By all means he's nearly invulnerable and practically a god. This gets shown off in a few areas, especially in his music video which you should totally check out.
Stolas turned a guy to stone at one point in an earlier episode. I think he has bodyguards, not to protect himself, but to trick others into thinking he’s not invincible so civilians feel safe around him

I love the fight scene with Striker, it’s so visceral. Ep. 6 is very good, but Ep. 5 will always have a special place in my heart just because of how cool Striker is in that one.

i feel like striker being voiced by norman reedus was the only reason people liked him. whenever people spoke about striker they’d bring up how he’s cool “because he’s voiced by norman reedus”. striker is arguably one of the most interesting characters and people complain that they “ruined him” (they didn’t), but if norman was able to reprise the role i bet people wouldn’t have been complaining as much
I love Millies sister response to why Millie is disqualified from The Pain Games and her killing everyone "it only counts if they find the bodies" 🤣 also, fun fact, Striker is Daryl Dixon from Walking Dead and during the absolutely EPIC battle scene, the music changes and matches whoever the camera is focused on i.e. country style for Millie, more primal for Luna, etc. God, i frickin love this show
I feel like the reason that HB is so good with its comedic moments is because of Brandon Rodgers (Blitzø's VA). He is hilarious and it reflects in this show
one of my favourite things about episode 6 is during the fight sequence, each character has their own music, and when you get 2 of them in the shot it layers the themes

There was this one ad where first there's a bunch of people showing each other things on their phones, so I go "gotta be a phone ad" but then they reveal that it's happening at the airport and we see some people being happily reunited and then cut to a pilot. So now I'm thinking it must be a traveling company ad and maybe they have an app or something since we had all that phone excitement in the beginning.

Stolas doesn't defend himself because he wants to feel loved and protected by others. And also he was raised up protected by bodyguards so to him it's normal behaviour.
He also just wanted an excuse to have Blitzo around him.
Blitzo is in a way jealous of Millie, but also of Moxie, because they have such a nice and stable relationship, which Blitzo also craves. And it is kinda clear that he would like to third wheel in their relationship. Just look at the time he plays with two figurines of Millie and Moxie before Stolas invites him to Loo Loo land.
