I'm really enjoying your lessons the only thing is I wish you'd define and spell out or show on screen some of the sanskrit words. But overall great presentation
I have looked online/books. I just feel so attracted to your logic and applied teachings. A real guru type I feel. The kind I think personally could help me through understanding how to make the most from my chart.. I wish that. I looked on your website but can only find relationship reading.
yulir82 Astrology can be very helpful to us understand our selves and the manifestation of consciousness. Personally I think that is more important than its predictive value. Consider taking the Myth and Magick of Vedic Astrology class on my site. It will take the feeling you have even further.
I am going on 38, although I have learned basic Astrology concepts prior, do you feel that I am too old to be able to learn this in depth? My apologies if this sounds silly, but THIS is my desire! I wish I had learned this earlier in life. I want to make a career out of this..
Shadbala, house placement, dignity, support from friends via lajjitaadi avashtas. But for simplicity now, just stick with the first three. A video on dignity will come soon.
OMG! My Asc is Leo, AK is Sun & D-30 asc is again Leo. I think, it is not so strong being in 6th with saturn's very close aspect form 4th house & ketu's aspect form 2nd.
So with Libra rising and Sun in Libra in the 1st, I'm basically up the creek? All joking aside, do the houses / placements calculate out the same way in Vedic as they do in classical astrology? It seems they're different in Vedic (Sun in Libra in the 1st in classical would be something else in Vedic?)
Debilitated Sun ruling 11th house, would give innate weakness to 11th house matters. If the Sun is with or aspected by Moon, Mars or Jupiter he can get a lot of help. (This is the same with all planets.) Also, the Sun will not be DB in all vargas. We must always remember this.
Ryan I am listening all of you courses now. Some of the sanskrit pronunciation of yours is hard to understand. can you please speak slow when this kind of words comes?? Thanks
Thanks so much Ryan, going to watch this a bunch of times as reference! In regards to Saturn (and Rahu?) as an enemy to the Sun, do we take into consideration the principle that as the person ages and after 30s the negative affect of Saturn diminishes? If for example Sat/Sun in the 1st house, then the person may have bad health/bad attitude as a child but improve as they get older? Also, is there a points system to weight the good and bad planets with the Sun? For example, a chart with Venus/Moon/Sun in 3rd house and then Jupiter aspecting that house, the good planets seems to balance out the negative effect that Venus can have so would that negate Venus?
You could, but that usually still depends on Saturn's dignity. There are plenty of cranky people out there who never grew into their Saturn, usually because of dignity or lajjitaadi avashtas.
Thank you many times for all the wisdom and knowledge shared in your videos. I do have a question to make regarding Sun. It is regarded as the king in the planetary cabinet, and the Moon, the queen. King and queen should be happy when united, but new Moon is considered week and incapable to produce fruits or results. How should one reason about the conjunction of Sun and Moon?
All relationships dealing with masculine and feminine energy need sufficient distance from each other and independent strength (or at least what seems that way, since the light of the Moon comes from the Sun) to function in a healthy fashion. One cannot overcome the other.
Hi Ryan! Thank you very much for your reply. I managed to understand the meaning of your explanation better after watching the video "Planetary Rulerships and Astrological Sign Qualities".
Quick beginners question, and could be a critical one in reading these charts. Some (South Indian) charts have different numbers in the boxes of the houses other than what number that house is from the ascendent. What are these numbers?
Ryan has two books now in the event you're not yet aware... you can get them on Amazon now. 1. The Art and Science of Vedic Astrology: The Foundation Course: Volume 1 2. The Art and Science of Vedic Astrology Volume 2: Intermediate Principles of Astrology: Intermediate Astrological Techniques
Most astrologers rely on computer software. The traditional way is covered in the book the Art and Science of Vedic Astrology, and also in other books.
Oh these mouth noises have going on for a decade now.... It is heard to learning with all the smacking and swollowing. I am not trying to be mean.. It is just so...
Ryan's way of making people understanding about Astrology or life in general is Classic ;).

Sun in 12 and mars in 5th and moon in 6th no help right?
Quick beginners question, and could be a critical one in reading these charts. Some (South Indian) charts have different numbers in the boxes of the houses other than what number that house is from the ascendent. What are these numbers?
These are bhava cusps. Depending on the cusp system you use, the farther north you go from the equator, the more those will bunch up in other houses.
Thank you so much for your videos.

If Pisces in 1st with Jupiter and sun in 12th house with Saturn, is this bad, because sun so close to ascendant?
Theresa Myers Having Jupiter in Pisces is in its own sign, which gives it strength.
sun in 7th house in cancer in birth chart
when you say sun do you mean a person's sun sign or the sun as in leo? sorry if I sound lame my intuition says the sun sign.
I simply mean the SUN as the planet itself and where it is placed and what it is up to.
+Ryan Kurczak ok thanks I was confused and started looking for the sign of leo. ok got it !
Hmmm interesting
Thanks
You are welcome.
